Hope all is well with your Dad. Pre Op was fine and now I just can't figure out what to puree...oh well it could be worse! Right now I am sipping my protein drink. How are you doing with it...?

Hi...glad to see that you made it through and yes I believe in pain meds. Can you give me an idea about the pre op week? What he recommends to eat/drink for the week. Some do vege and salad others are strictly liquids. I go to see him on Sept 4th but I am so curious. We had a guest at our hotel in OG today that had it done four weeks ago in NYC and was at the movies a few days later. I plan on sleeping on the meds!!!

Hi Laura, no problem I am on sporadically too. Congrats on your surgery date! It will be here before you know it. I am doing o.k. still very tired. I did have it at Jersey Shore, Dr. Kipnis. I underestimated my recovery but I have a very low tolerance for pain too which I knew before going into it. I have heard stories of people going shopping the next day - I can't even relate to that. I did have a rough couple of weeks after surgery. I did use my pain med. If you do have pain, use them and don't go too long without them. It definetly helps to get thru it. Like I said I have a low tolerance to pain so you could be entirely different. Dr. Kipnis is very thorough and is available before and after surgery if anything should arise. Hi...Sorry I didn't sign on for awhile. Just got approved and my surgery date is Sept 16. How are you doing? Did you go to Jersey Shore? Any input would be so helpful. Laura
