Hi everyone...I am mojaleski (my online Scrabble name) and I am 70, a RN and former LADC from NH. My sleeve surgery should be in September at Lahey Clinic, Burlington, Ma. with Dr. David Brams, MD. Hoping for insurance approval soon...and getting excited. I am ready to get my weight down and energy level and body back! Are there others from my area here?

Sh5 - I believe they are processing my complications claims as an 'accident' - so...I bet your insurance WOULD cover it, with enough fussing of course!

I'm 1 week into my liquid diet. I was dreading that more than anything but it's really not bad.
One more week then it is for real. Thought my two week countdown would never end and it helped that I had to fly to Chicago for a week before starting my diet. The food is so good in Chicago that I was able to have several "food funerals" while there and wouldn't you know it, with all that food, I didn't gain a pound! Maybe it is dieting and food anxieties that make us fat.

Sally, welcome to our July group! Your surgery is coming up at the beginning of the month, mine is the second 1/2. When does your liquid diet start? I am so stinking excited for mine to start, I have been prepared for over a month now and mine begins on the 12th. I need to get on with this, it seems as if July is never going to get here. I hope you are as excited as I am and I just want to wish you the greatest of luck on the new you!!!
