20 pounds gone!!! Yay!! I feel so much better, I just can't wait for another 20 pounds! My sleep apnea is completely gone (and it was Bad!) I've been suffering with a bit of remorse for not enjoying food anymore. Even some that I think will be so good, are just not the same. I had a tater tot the other day & it tasted so good & that first crunch was so good-- but I had to chew it so much that the texture changed & ended up grossing me out!! But That's ok. I don't want to love food anymore-- I'd rather be skinny!!!
My new best friend is the freezer!! I have to have I e in every drink now-- I used to hate ice water!! So weird. The biggest treat I have --several times a day-- is any drink half frozen & made slushy!! If you have a Bahama Buck's near you, they have sugar free flavors & I get them with no flavor at all sometimes-- just the plain 'snow' is awesome & a great way to get liquid in. Also if you have a Sonic near you-- they have 'PowerAide flavored' slushies that you can even add your powdered protein to if you're doing protein. I may reward my 20 pound loss & go to Bed Bath & Beyond & see if they have a icee or snow come maker!! My love for food has transferred to a love of slushies-- and I can control the calories!! I'm so excited!!!

HI Bobbie! Yes it was too bad we didn't run into each other! I was in pretty rough shape for the first 3 days and slept a lot and did a little walking but not a whole lot! But everything went fairly smoothly. I had a lot of gas pain! How did everything go for you? I am feeling a lot better now. Back at home and starting on my week 2 foods (I am SO sick of sugar free jello and broth, yuck!). I am loving cottage cheese and greek yogurt right now. Thank you the head aches are terrible . The dry mouth and sleepless nights . I'm so happy I gave them up for good I am bigger now then when I started . 238 .

I know Bobbie I can barely believe it! I am so excited. How is your pre op diet going? What have you been eating? I start mine today and I'm determined to stick with it! What shuttle are you being picked up from the airport at? I'm catching the 3 pm. I hope were on the same shuttle

I'm so happy for you and Kait that you two will be in TJ at the same time it is so wonderful to have a support when going through with these kind of surgery. I meant to say I deffinitely don't think you should feel bad. You have been there for your dad and I'm sure he'd want you to do this for you! It's going to contribute to your health and happiness, what every parent wants for their child you will be home and back with your dad before you know it

Haha awe I hope we both get to enjoy some cocktails eventually! I'm sure we will be able too yes oh my gosh we are getting so close!!! I'm feeling very excited and not too nervous which is nice! I'm feeling curious about how everything is going to go. I'm also feeling a little anxious about travelling there (but that is normal for me, I'm sure it will be ok). I have a few lay overs!

Goodmorning Bobbie well I'm glad to hear the weather in TJ is nice! I really hope we get to look around a little. Yeah I have only told my sister and her bf (who is a close friend of mine). I will eventually tell my parents and maybe a few friends but that will be post op. I just decided that I'm making this decision for me and I didn't want any negativity surrounding it. I do understand it might be a hard choice for some people to understand!
Are you feeling nervous? Is there anything you are curious about with the gastric sleeve? I'm wondering how it will be to drink alcohol with eventually haha

You are so right about staying positive. It seems we both have tried so many things and we are having this surgery because its our last option. I know that we will see great results! I can't wait to have "before and after" pics! The thing I feel most excited about right now is just feeling comfortable in my own skin again, being overweight makes me so self conscious that I have a hard time enjoying a lot of activities. But any who enough about me! Thanks for chatting with me, its really nice to have someone to talk to just about any of this stuff. I am not telling many people about my surgery so I appreciate having someone who can empathize

That is very exciting that you bought your plane tickets!! I felt the exact same way when I bought mine. I paid for the rest of my sugary last night and it was a great feeling because now everything is done and I am ready to go, nothing is holding me back! That is very nice you get to go on a family vacation pre-surgery. A nice way to relax and ready yourself.

Is the weather in Tijuanna very hot right now? I have to say over here in Alberta, Canada we aren't having the nicest June weather. It is sunny today but its been cloudy and rainy a lot, in fact it rained so much that parts of AB are flooding! Im looking forward to getting away to some nicer weather thats for sure!

On the 12th with Dr. Almanza. I'm so glad you Msgd me I was hoping I'd meet someone who was having their surgery around the same time as me! Yes I hope we do see eachother at the Hotel Tiquan. Maybe we can go for a walk and grab a water while we are both in Tijuana recovering (I'm hoping I'm going to feel well enough to check out the area around the hotel a little just for curiosity's sake!). Where are you from? I'm from Vancouver island bc but I work outside fort mcmurray Alberta.

I am feeling so excited for my surgery! I did a big shop and bought a bunch of liquid vitamins, some electrolyte powder, baby food, crystal lite. I'm hoping I have the majority of what I'll need. How are you feeling about your surgery and being prepared? I have to say I've been having reoccurring worrisome thoughts that the surgery isn't going to work (me not loosing weight) and that my appetite won't be suppressed. I suffer from binge eating which causes me alot of stress and depression so I'm really hoping my doubts are wrong!! hope you're having a nice week.

It's official!! My surgery date is July 11th. Eeek!! I'm excited, but very nervous!!
