Thank you for friending me.. You look like you are doing really well. I am not often on here but feel free to read my blog I started it March 2013 and I have written extensively.. Hence the silence these days as I don't feel like I have much more to say :-)) I found this site very useful an made some good friends who were and are a great support. Hopefully you are finding the same support. Anyway if you write I normally get a message on my phone. Good luck with your journey

  2. I am the same way. Especially if I'm eating a softer protein. My goal is 10-15 minutes, so not as bad, but still hard at times. I keep trying to put the plate down, or the fork down, or talk to my husband in between bites. When I'm out to eat, it isn't an issue because we are usually conversing and I don't want to be done so fast that I'm just watching everyone else eat, but home, not so much.
  3. Susan you look great!! We are right in line with each other.

I keep track of every thing, everyday. Gets old quickly. I too had to increase my calories. Im at about 1000-1200 calories a day. I've been having a good stall this week, but oh well. Try not to worry about the weight loss. We will get it when the time is right. You are doing really good, I understand that you want 2 pounds a week loss, but remember you're still losing and that's what counts. keep your head up, you got this.

Hi Susan, that is a little nerve wrecking. I've gain 3-4 pounds a month ago. A week later I was back on the losing team again. I average any where from 600-1200 calories, varies on how hard I work that day and how hard I workout that day. Do the most part I eat tuna and chicken. Every other meat bothers me. I still can only eat around 4 ounces per meal, but thats ok. I have noticed my weight loss has slowed down drastically. But God has his plans for us and he will get us where we are needed when the time is right. I try not to worry and just have faith that I'm where I should be. I hope everything goes back to the losing team for you again.
Best of wishes and luck my friend.

Sugar and Coffee Creamers

by suzn358 on 06-23-2014 at 08:29 AM
Do any of you post-op sleevers still use regular sugar or the flavored creamers in your coffee? I just can't stomach the artificial sweeteners in my coffee so I've been having tea because with that I can tolerate Equal. Do you think it would be so bad to have a teaspoon of sugar in my coffee?

How is it really?

by suzn358 on 04-15-2014 at 11:58 AM
I had a surgery date for January 8th and cancelled since I have a cruise coming up in 2 weeks. I was afraid I wouldn't be at "normal" food in time for the cruise.

My new surgery date is May 28th.

My question for all of you is do you eat everything (or mostly) everything you used to eat, just in smaller quantities? Or did you completely revamp your eating?

Do you still have caffeine?

Thanks,
Susan

I've heard so much good advice from everyone on here. You're all so wonderful. However, I have decided to not go through with the sleeve at this time. I just don't feel ready to make the commitment at this time. Maybe down the road I will revisit it. Take care and good luck everyone.

One week to go and I'm sick

by suzn358 on 12-31-2013 at 02:57 PM
Ugh how frustrating. Have had a cold for a few days and it's turned into an ear infection. Started zpack today. Pre surgical testing is Thursday and surgery is next Wednesday. Hope this infection gets out of me quickly and they don't postpone me!

The party's over

by suzn358 on 12-25-2013 at 07:01 PM
Tomorrow I start my almost two week pre op diet and so ends a long line of last suppers and snacks. I'll be on 13 days of meal replacement/protein shakes totaling 1200 calories per day. My surgery is on January 8th and I'm ready for this. I'll be asking for help I'm sure once I get to the other side. This forum is such a big help already!
