  1. I'm still at a stand still. I need to journal so I know what the heck I'm doing. I take a bad ass vitamin, so that is at least done. What was your journal showing as an avg amount of cals, carbs, protein, sugar, and fat for a typical day?
  2. I did that and lost 2 lbs. I found that my water intake and exercise is key. Plus I need to incorporate shakes again.
  3. I love love love your new picture. Such a beautiful dress on such a beautiful woman!!
  4. Yes the new job. It wasn't right for me. Didn't like the company or at least the region I was in. I start a new job in 3 weeks. Part time. Hubby sucking it up for me to focus on me.
  5. Ok totally put my response to you on my own visitor page...lol. Smart phone dumb user....lol
  6. it was the fact that that went on a wristband I've had it since last year no problems and then this band broke
  7. I have had sadness but not depression. I walked a lot this weekend and spent a lot of time at the beach to get some mental rest. I ate pretty good. Last night could have been better, but still not bad. I am packing to move (again) due to a larger apartment coming available in my complex. I also have 2 job interviews today so busy busy busy. I lost my fitbit yesterday so upset about that. Don't be disgusted, weddings and social events are the hardest.
  8. I tend to make better choices when I'm tracking on myfitnesspal. I'm more aware of the amount of protein, fat, carbs, calories, so it just keeps me in better check. I eat eggs, cottage cheese, deli meat and cheese, canned chicken, protein shakes or quest nutrition bars, greek yogurt, meat, nuts, protein snacks I purchase online. I'm not working out enough. I'm not drinking enough water. For me, it's the whole thing. If I can work out 4 days a week, drink 80-100 oz a day of water or decaf iced tea, and eat better with higher protein, then the scale moves and I feel better. It's my depression that is keeping me from moving more. I agree about the diet/ ww for me at least that is tru
  9. I'm so happy to hear from you. I am still hovering between 177 and 178 very frustrated myself. I am seriously looking for a closer job with less hours to help with my stress level. I'm still dealing with my father's estate and my siblings. I am my own worst enemy right now and not putting myself first again. I feel so good when I do walk and when I do watch what I eat and when I use MyFitnessPal but then I slack again. I still have 40 pounds To go. I would love for us to push each other.
  10. Back to normal but eating less. Still trying to figure things out.
  11. Hi Susan! The pouch test was really easy to be honest. Just had to fight through the headaches during sugar/carb purge. Wasn't hungry much at all and started feeling the restriction on the 4th day when solid protein was introduced.

Much better, thanks. Everyday seems to get a little easier. I had to stay an extra day in the hospital because of nausea but as of right now I'm at home resting and on track to get most of my water and proteins in so I can't complain. Thanks for asking!

Sugar and Coffee Creamers

by suzn358 on 06-23-2014 at 08:29 AM
Do any of you post-op sleevers still use regular sugar or the flavored creamers in your coffee? I just can't stomach the artificial sweeteners in my coffee so I've been having tea because with that I can tolerate Equal. Do you think it would be so bad to have a teaspoon of sugar in my coffee?

How is it really?

by suzn358 on 04-15-2014 at 11:58 AM
I had a surgery date for January 8th and cancelled since I have a cruise coming up in 2 weeks. I was afraid I wouldn't be at "normal" food in time for the cruise.

My new surgery date is May 28th.

My question for all of you is do you eat everything (or mostly) everything you used to eat, just in smaller quantities? Or did you completely revamp your eating?

Do you still have caffeine?

Thanks,
Susan

Thank you

I've heard so much good advice from everyone on here. You're all so wonderful. However, I have decided to not go through with the sleeve at this time. I just don't feel ready to make the commitment at this time. Maybe down the road I will revisit it. Take care and good luck everyone.

One week to go and I'm sick

by suzn358 on 12-31-2013 at 02:57 PM
Ugh how frustrating. Have had a cold for a few days and it's turned into an ear infection. Started zpack today. Pre surgical testing is Thursday and surgery is next Wednesday. Hope this infection gets out of me quickly and they don't postpone me!

The party's over

by suzn358 on 12-25-2013 at 07:01 PM
Tomorrow I start my almost two week pre op diet and so ends a long line of last suppers and snacks. I'll be on 13 days of meal replacement/protein shakes totaling 1200 calories per day. My surgery is on January 8th and I'm ready for this. I'll be asking for help I'm sure once I get to the other side. This forum is such a big help already!
