- I have had a gastric sleeve.
- Biography:
- I'm in the beginning stages of this journey. I met with the bariatric surgeon today. He said that I'm a good candidate for the gastric sleeve. I have my first appt with the PCP to get all my testing done, made the appt for my psych eval and waiting for a call back from the nutritionist for my appt. Doctor said it will take 3 months of hoop jumping and it will go by really fast. I'm excited.

Surgery went well. I'm getting around well. I feel great and I get to go home tomorrow. Yay!
Surgery tomorrow

Finished my pre op and pre registration. Have to be at the hospital tomorrow morning at 5am. I'm still excited but getting nervous. I've been so distracted with work, school and Christmas that it hasn't hit me yet....
Approved and scheduled

I got the call from the nurse's office today that the insurance approved me. Scheduled for December 5th. Pre op on November 27th. I am so happy and excited
Medical Clearance

Medical clearance on October 30th, chart sent to insurance for approval...keeping my fingers crossed and saying my prayers.... so anxious and excited
Medical Clearance
I received a call yesterday from the nurse at the surgeon's office that I have completed everything I need for approval. I made my appointment with my PCP for medical clearance on October 30th. Then paperwork gets sent in for approval. Told again that it is 3 months not 6, which confuses me but it is getting closer to surgery and I'm getting anxious and excited.
