This whole process is going really fast for me! When I first researched the idea of having this surgery I thought it would take months and months or even years to do. Uhhh, NO. Not the case with me. I had my very first consult today with my surgeon and I only have one other requirement to meet with him and I'll be ready to pick a surgery date....W.H.A.T?????
Because I'm already diabetic, I've been working with a NUT at Diabetes America for a few years off and on. My dr. was happy with that

I started out at 302, currently at 295 and am trying to set a reasonable goal. At 5'7" I think that 175 is "reasonable", do you?
How did you determine that magic number? Was it something you came up with and asked your doctor, spouse or friends to help you pick? I'd really be interested to know how you picked your goal. I have some other goals too that aren't related to any number like:
