I must say this Forum and everyone on it are AWESOME! Thanks to all of you for every single post. Such good information to help on our journeys. I searched the forums and couldn't find anything similar so here is my question.
I've been having a stomach aches pretty much every day. I just assumed it was part of the healing process. You know we each heal differently.
This past Friday I ran out of Actigall. Guess what, over the weekend no more stomach aches! Not thinking
Please don't take this the wrong way I know I only had 80-100 pounds to loose. I just realized I'm 1/2 way to my goal weight!
On the NUT supervised diet I lost 10 pounds. Then another 14 pounds while on th e preop liquid diet and the last 16 or so since surgery.
WOWHOO!!!!
So surgery was Wednesday morning, all went well. Recovery not so much, I had a lot of nausea, dry heaves and puked 2x. Never had this problem last November when I had cervical fusion.
Hospital nursing staff was awesome. While anesthesia was still working i walked and walked. Once the ugi xray cleared me I FINALLY got a clear liquid tray. Never have I enjoyed an orange popsicle, green jello, and broth!!! It tasted like a 4 course meal at a 5 star restaurant!

Yesterday I found out the insurance company denied paying for VSG surgery. I warned the insurance coordinator and tried to talk her into better documenting my high blood pressure and early diabetes. She didn't listen so hear we are.
Anyone ever had sleeve surgery while getting other "covered" surgery?
Haven't been on here in a while. Finished my 6 months NUT supervised diet today. GP wrote his recommendation letter, also got the Psych consult/approval letter.
Doc office is due to submit insurance approval paperwork Monday; fingers crossed...
