    Thanks for the welcome!!
  2. Tomorrow will be 2 months since I had the sleeve and I am still losing weight. I am really amazed at how little I eat compared to pre-surgery. I was such a HUGE volume eater that each time I go out with friends I remember how I use to order and now an appetizer fills me up. My problem too is remembering to not drink water right before or after meals. I've always drank water with meals and now there is simply no room. I have a lot more energy and feel so much better. As I continue to lose, I'm sure I'll feel even better!

Well I am jealous of the travel, it's my favorite thing to do. Thank you for thinking of me on your return I am getting better each day and I just got back from a 4 day music festival in which I took pre=pureed and packaged foods for the motorhome, cottage cheese with pineapple, cream of wheat for breakfast and pureed roasted and braised beef over mashed potatoes for dinners 1oz of each. It wasn't horrible and I had a good time. I am in no pain and can tolerate the tiny bites of almost anything I have tried, but I think the more my tummy heals, the more it tells me to stop eating when I get full. I just still need to slow down and remember to stop drinking before and right after meals, that is the roughest part, I always have water with food, always have.

Thank you for letting us know how it went. Have you had any weight loss yet? Was you Doctors Valenzuela/Cabrera? Are you excited about your new life?
  5. Everything went well. That first day was rough due to anesthesia. I didn't have anything in my stomach, but blood came up. This happened about 4 times with the last being in the early morning hours. I was given medication for it. The nurses said it was normal to have blood from the surgery in the stomach. It wasn't a lot, but it freaked my sister out! the other gals that had surgery the same day didn't have nausea. My incisions are healing, the biggest one that's taking longer is the one that had the drainage tube. I'm taking centrum silver chewable, liquid B12, GNC's calcimate plus 800, & the medicine the hospital gave me to take for a month once daily, omerprazol. I've been having Costco's Premier Protein drink, UNjury's chicken broth, & Greek yogurt, so I'm getting enough protein. I feel little contractions like very mild cramping at times, but I think that it's because I'm still healing. Overall, I feel good with only minimal soreness. Thought I'd let you know my experience. Take care all!

You will be in great hands. Please tell the docs I said hi! I sent you my before and after pics. I have even an updated pic that was taken yesterday, and didn't realize how much weight I've lost until I saw these two pictures my sister took of me. My sister was sleeved last year in October 2012, then I followed on 12/07/12. She will be getting married on 07/06. I'll be thinking of you! Take care and keep me posted on your surgery, and post-op. Jen
