    You look wonderful! Congratualtions!
  2. Celebrated my daughters wedding in size 20 dress down from size 28. Have come so far in such a short time. Have loads of energy and love being me now.
  3. Well 3 months now and from start to now down 88 lbs. 22 lbs since first month visit. I seem to loose 2 to 3 lbs per week. Finding most things easy but now have to start doing my fitnesspal to watch my protein intake.
  4. I did notice hernia first which lead me to the gastric surgery as to fix the issue the weight needs to be gone. When Dr. Starr went in to do the gastric Y he could not due to the hernia and it's position on the bowel and all lesions around it. This will do when I reach my goal weight or plateau. Get your doctor to do ultrasound or cat scan which should tell him if you do have one. Bowel problems, hernia's and gall bladder can be side affect to the surgery

    Hi charity
Did you have any indication prior to surgery that you had a hernia? I didn't have one going in but my bowels have been messed up since surgery so I wonder if I might have one now! I'm a fellow Ontarian, not that far from you actually!

  7. Well I am surprised at how easy I am finding this and cannot wait to finally have the energy to introduce my exercise program into my life again
  8. Hello. Well my body is finally matching my mind and every day is getting so much better. I am 53 and started my process weigh in at 352. I lost 52 lbs before surgery as per surgeons instructions to have the Y bypass but due to my health and the hernia on my bowel and lesions being really bad when he went in, the surgeon did the sleeve. Same change. We made a choice to eat and make our bodies this large and now I have after many attempted diets have decided to do this surgery. I need the hernia fixed before it causes major problems with my bowel and I look at ostomy supplies. I have lots of support and many friends who have done well and even one who no long has orthotics or diabetes anymore.
