I just wanted to say that you inspire me. My cousin had the sleeve done in August 2014 and has since lost 147 pounds. That's when I started looking into it. I've been struggling with my weight for EVER. I am 24, almost 25 and I weigh 437. Something HAS to change. Any advice? Thank you in advance.

I am glad to hear about your weight loss, its so encouraging. I too hope to be in 5 months 100 lbs weight loss can you tell me are you doing any special diet or how are you eatting. Sometime I too think Im eatting too much.

HEY ya I'm doing pretty good. Feeling a little weak but my nut said that was normal in the first few weeks. I'm on day three and the pain has gotten significantly better. Kellie the pre op diet was high protein low carb diet. Basically could only have 40 g. of carbs a day INCLUDING fruits and veges. Pretty much I ate lots of meat and cheese. I always had a goodie bag with me anywhere I went that had my premier proteinshakes, the budding lunch meat packs, and string cheese. I'm not a part of any support groups but would definitely be down to get together with some fellow sleevers in the area. Hi Meghan, you did it! Super excited to know you did well. What did they have you do for the Pre-op diet? Just curious because I haven't had that phone call with the nutritionist. Also, are you going to some type of support group meetings?
Good luck with clears, full liquids and puree...you can do it!

Sorry it took me so long to post. My surgery was yesterday at 930 am and it took about two hours because they had to do a hurnia repair. Didn't even know I had one. Kellie Dr. Billings had to go to Ukraine because I guess he's adopting some kids over there so Dr. Harris did my surgery and he was great too. Dr. Harris is also the cosmetic doc for that clinic too. Today I'm just feeling tired and a little painful. Thought maybe I could space out my pain meds a little but that was a huge mistake. Trying to play catch up now.

Dr. Billing is doing my sleeve too, but not until June 23. I'd love to hear how everything goes for you.
