Actually, I've been at my goal weight for about 9 months. Hit my goal of 150 last April. Then slowly, slowly lost more. This morning I weighed 136. I couldn't be happier -- or feel better or look any better for my age. What a wonderful decision WLS was.

Congrats on your progress. How are you coming along. At 2.5 years out, I'm finding the hardest part is maintaining but I continue to work hard. I can now eat more at least a small saucer of food. I have to strive to make good choices. I've worked too hard to get to this point. Just sending you words of encouragement. I tell myself that eating the junk food does not make me nearly as happy as being healthy feels.

Good luck on your journey looks like you have worked real hard too. Great results in your before and after pic. Best of luck on your success

B2B, you continue to knock me out. You were da bomb when I started lurking here. And you still are. Just wish you would post more about any challenges you've faced and are dealing with more than 2 years later. And if there aren't any, that's great, too.

First of all, congrats on losing the weight and looking fantastic! . . . . I was wondering what cosmetics you have done since WLS. My friend and I had the surgery done together, but with the weight loss, I feel I want the mommy make over and my arms done. Luckily I have overly supportive friends, so there are 4 of us that will be getting cometic surgery together. I'm all for the buddy system!! (:

Getting Back on Track!

by Bombshell2Be on 10-12-2014 at 02:08 PM
I haven't been very active on the forum lately, and have been majorly slacking off when it comes to my workouts! I also ran out of my vitamins, which is a major "no-no"... and definitely felt like crap because of that, but have stocked up again! For the most part, I have still been following my high protein/low carb diet, and haven't really gained (2 pounds), but definitely ready to hit the gym full time this week and start feeling like my new/old self again! I think I just let life get

Nsv! :)

by Bombshell2Be on 07-24-2014 at 07:04 PM
This is a little silly, but made me feel good! I have been working out with a personal trainer for about 6 months now, and he has these cool Under Armour shirts made with his logo on the front. You can't buy the shirts, you have to earn them by working your booty off and making progress!... Well... He surprised me with my shirt this week! It's even my favorite color! Pretty proud of it!

One Year WLS Anniversary!

by Bombshell2Be on 05-01-2014 at 07:40 PM
I can't believe it's been a year since I had my surgery! It has been the best decision that I have ever made!... Crazy how much your life can change in 365 days!... I knew that I would look better and be healthier, but nothing could have prepared me for how this journey would change me on the inside!! I feel like I am finding my true self, and have learned that having self confidence is life changing in itself! It's a beautiful thing! I am so grateful for the support I have been blessed with through

Silly NSV?!?

by Bombshell2Be on 04-14-2014 at 09:20 PM
I am not really sure if this would be considered an NSV, but made me hopeful that my subconscious is catching up with my smaller body! Regardless of whether or not I am buying one item or a cart full, I have always pushed a shopping cart at the grocery store, partially to hide behind it, like a security blanket I guess! Same with my son's stroller, always wanted to push it so I wouldn't feel so "exposed"! So here's the silly NSV part! I went to the grocery store today to grab a couple
