Hello all. I wanted to give an update. Had a horrible weekend two weeks ago that sent me to the ER. Found out that I have gallstones. Going to have surgery next Monday. I won't lie, after going thur that pain, I had really started resenting having this surgery. I had went from being healthy, and only having ankle repair surgery in 88 to now two surgeries in less than 3 months. I don't like the thought of being cut open yet again.. I know it is a necessary evil but I had question whether it was a result of having the sleeve. I must say the emotions do get to you when issues arise.

Hello all. Well.,its 6:30 and now things are better . The worse part was in recovery. I didnt know i had a hernia and I haven't felt pain like that since my ankle surgery in 1988 and this was even worse and kepbt me in tears until I got to my room and hooked up to my PCA. I've been more dizzy than in pain. I did get the shoulder pain but it wasn't as bad as I expected. Been up walking. First time i started to walk, the room spent around and so did I. Luckily I was just outside my room. Second time, I made it just outside my room about 50 feet from my rm. third time around, I made it all the way to the lobby and back. I think the real adjustment is the fact that I feel so tired. I think it's the dilaudid I'm on.other than that, I feel great....
Hope your feeling well!
Okay. This waiting is the worse. So far I have some great nurses. Not a great deal of privacy in the post opt area. I'm hearing this woman next door to me whole history... I'm just ready to get this done..
Getting ready to go back.. I'm still not worry just anxious for this to be done.. I haven't been this excited to join a group since high school!!!! See you guys on the other side
Thank you. I'm just waiting around. Surgery isn't until 2pm, check in is at 1pm
Well wishes as you embark on your new journey!
Wow thanks hun, you take it easy. This past week has been a learning experience. Right now I ache, I'm emotionally up and down, and I cant eat. Not that I'm hungry. It's hard but it's the right choice. I wish you the quickest recovery. Remember to sip and walk!!!! Talk to you soon.
Thank you. Amazing thing is that I'm not nervous at all. I think a the info here has helped me to understand what to expect. I will post updates all day tomorrow..
Good Luck as you prepare for your surgery tomorrow! Positive thoughts and prayers for a beautiful sleeving and speedy recovery!

Hi there! I haven't been on in a while, I was wondering if UHC approved you, and how you are. I saw a sign for Eagle Pass over the weekend and thought of you
