Hello, I noticed you originally were going to use Dr. Fitzer as your surgeon but switched. Was it cost or other reasons?! I am scheduled to have a sleeve with him on 12/16 and want to get any feedback. Thanks!

So how many days were you there total in hospital and in hotel? How did you get your stitches removed? I don't have any co-morbidities, 36 yrs old. I have never been under anesthesia before so that concerns me but only a little. I'm just worried about the logistics of having an out of town surgeon. Thanks for taking time to answer my questions

Hi. I'm researching surgeons and as a self pay person I am taking into consideration the cost as well. I've read a few posts from people about Dr Shillingford. If I use him I will also be traveling (from AZ). How do they handle pre and post op care since we are out of towners? Thanks for your advice.

Wow!! I had no idea you actually went to him for the surgery!! I am so glad you did. They truly are the most wonderful people and will do anything for you!! I was very cautious when I first came upon him for a surgeon and did a million checks on him. He came out clean as a whistle every time so my faith is in the Lord and I did it. I am so happy that you had a great experience. I felt so fortunate to find a doctor that was willing to do the surgery for 10,500 and not have to travel to far for it. I don't have a passport so Mexico was out of the question. You will have to message me and tell me all the details!! So happy for you!!!

I have nothing but positive things to say. Fom what I recall he has never had a leak nor any deaths, and he goes to great leangth to prevent the former due to his preop and post op precautions. Everything is going great, I've lost over 45lbs since April 12th. Hospital stay was only 2 day and I haven't been on any painkillers since I left. I don't know if this is normal or because I'm in my early twenties. Feel free I ask me anything, dr. Shillingford and his staff are great. Good luck!
