Just passed on Valentine's Day :-) I am currently 14 pounds from goal (omg it seems so silly compared to 78 pounds lost but it is so slow now!) All in all, extremely happy with my results! I have lost an average of 13 pounds a month in the last 6 months, if you don't count the 2 week liquid diet! My love life is better than ever, I'm in a committed relationship with a very supportive man whom I love very much, a reconnection of sorts :-) It's funny, I was so nervous to tell the last man I was with
Well I had my sleeve on Aug. 14 and am now less than 30 pounds from goal. That being said, you can definitely tell I've lost a lot of weight and all the new attention I'm getting is crazy! I met someone a few weeks after my surgery (I've lost approx. 30 pounds since meeting him) and we got pretty serious pretty quickly. Well, turns out he was a jerk. A big one…lol. And so I have experienced my first post-sleeve semi-heartbreak. I hadn't dated for awhile beforehand, so these emotions are eating
I am two months post-op and have lost 47 pounds since I began my liquid diet. I can't even fathom how I was carrying around almost 50 pounds in addition to my weight now. I am only 3 pounds away from being considered simply "overweight" according to the BMI chart - exciting!!! I am wearing clothes from 5 years ago and even fit into my prom dress, which looks better than it did in high school. I can't wrap my head around all the compliments I am receiving (although I love them!) and
Was feeling sick last night, woke up with a 101 fever and a nasty throat - doctor confirmed it's definitely strep. Now my throat is so swollen I can barely get anything down and I'm on a huge antibiotic...haven't eaten since yesterday early and I'm feeling icky...but tomorrow is a new day. Who gets strep at 26? Grrr
Four weeks post op today and down roughly 30 pounds since I started my liquid diet...yay!! But on the other side of the coin, I have become increasingly exhausted. I get up at 5 am for work and find that after work by 4pm I am struggling to keep my eyes open, sometimes fall asleep on accident, and then am back in bed by 8. I am taking all of my vitamins and the B12 that used to help is no longer helping. Hoping this stage passes quickly, but hey - if this is the only complaint I have, then I'll
