Hey! I hope that you had a better day today =)

I've had some issues too... I had to stay an extra night in the hospital because I would throw up anytime I wasn't laying flat in bed. Then last night I had an allergic reaction to one of the meds they gave me. Really, my hospital stay was miserable but now that I'm in my own bed and clothes and able to take a shower I feel much better.

Have you made it home yet?

I know!! I'm not even nervous, just excited and ready! I was worthless at the office today, between being anxious from surgery and hungry from the pre-op diet I couldn't concentrate at all. I'm lucky that my boss is understanding.

How are you feeling?

Excited mostly at this point. I have my pre-op appointment today and I think that it's finally starting to sink in that this is really going to happen. I'm sure that the nerves will hit me on surgery day but my surgery is at 6 am so I'm grateful that I won't have much time that day to dwell on it.

How is the pre-op diet going?

Less than a week to go!

Yes very exciting I think I start my diet on the 18th my Nutrition appt. is on Thursday so I will find out then.

Yep, 10 days is definitely harder than 5. I already know exactly what I'm going to have for my last meal before I have to start the pre-op diet... isn't that terrible?? lol I'm having this major surgery to help me change my eating habits but I'm thinking about all of the things that I want to eat before I do it!

Do you mind if I ask how long you're taking off from work? Right now I'm planning on going back the Monday after our surgery date but only working half days the first week back. I'm wondering if that's too ambitious.

I'm lucky because my doctor only requires 5 days... first two days low carb and then 3 days on a liquid diet after that. To me that sounds terrible but then I read on here that others have to be on a special for weeks and I try to remember that I have it easy!!

I'm not nervous either but I still feel like it's a long ways away... I think that I'll get more nervous as we get closer to d-day!! More than feeling nervous, I'm dreading the pre-op diet at this point lol
