  1. Thanks for your encouragement. I am a week out of surgery and finding that it is much easier than I could have imagined. Clear liquids still until I see the doc next week. I don't have a scale at home so won't know my progress until next Tuesday. I do appreciate your support though, every bit helps.

17 days since surgery and I am afraid to eat

by auntwisa on 06-02-2013 at 05:41 PM
Yep, 17 days out. I was down 20lbs at my two week visit and was really happy. The doc says that I can be eating soft food diet, but I fear dumping, frothing, etc., On the liquid diet I never had a full feeling and am afraid that I won't feel full with food and will eat more than is allowed or required, Am tolerating the protein just fine, getting in about 70gms a day. I just don't know what to eat first, but worry more about not knowing when to stop. Any comments would be most appreciated, especially

Okay so this Thurs. I am having the sleeve. I first started my journey in February and am having doubts as to weather I am informed enough about what to expect. The Doc had me on a soft food diet for 10 days, meaning protein drink for breakfast, fat free cottage cheese for lunch, and creamed soup for dinner. In between, water, juices, tea. Now, 2 days out and I am on clear liquids. No protein now, as I understand it. Nothing to eat or drink after midnight Wed and surgery 15 hours later. I feel like
