I recently read a post that you eat egg drop soup (minus the egg). Can you send me the recipe for this?! I would love to have something like that I can put in a small thermos and take to work with me.

    Thanks

Thanks, say a prayer we get back to work soon... this is my busiest time of the year! :/ I think my cholesterol problem is definitely a hereditary problem. I really take after my fathers side and he, his brother, his mother, and grandmother all had strokes so I'm always scared to death I'll end up having one if I'm not careful. My dad also had at least one heart attack. I am so hoping I don't have to go back on blood pressure meds and that I can eliminate the CPAP machine! I haven't had anyone tell me I need to gain weight but I have had one tell me that I don't need to try to get "too skinny." She is thin and fit so I was surprised to hear that from her. I did have my water aerobics teacher ask me Friday if I had been loosing weight, she said I look very fit. Imagine that, me "very fit"!!! I told her about my surgery and how I've not been able to keep off the weight for the past 10 years. I took that as a very big complement and I'll ride that for a while, maybe I can think of her words if I do get some negative. That's a shame people can't just be happy for you. I think your stomach looked awesome! You have worked very hard and one thing I've always heard is that people who have skin removal surgery are a lot less likely to regain. Who knows why but that's great. I'm hoping I have enough clothes to get me through until I start working again and getting pay checks! I'll keep you posted on my follow up visit with Tim next week. Take care!

    Part 2
My PCP called earlier today to put me back on my one of the cholesterol medications I was taking, it was way too high. I'll start back on my Lipitor but it probably didn't help to have a whole egg every morning for breakfast as soon as I added it in my diet. Even when I was in my 20's and slim, working out, eating right I've always had high cholesterol. I will have a 6 weeks follow up on labs. I've had my CPAP pressure lowered and think it is still too high. I'll wait a little longer and do a new sleep study and see if it can be eliminated completely. My blood pressure has been great except when I listen to the news. I'm a Federal employee, since the government is shut down right now I'm not able to work or get paid. It's extremely stressful and I'm anxiously waiting to get back to work! I don't have to go back on the blood pressure meds, at least not at this time. I pray it stays that way. My feet, ankles and my knee all feel better too. In fact, some of my shoes that I've been wearing are actually loose now. LOL. I didn't realize my feet were as swollen as they were. So, I have improvements in everything so far.

I had to go shopping since I'm now in the last of my "skinny" clothes I had saved. I have a huge stack of things to give away and want to give some to family members in SC, where I'm from, but I can't afford to ship them yet. I need to take the other things to Goodwill now that I've gone through them again and eliminated some more sizes.

I think it's going great! I really didn't have a lot to lose compared to a lot of people. My starting BMI in January when I first went to the bariatric center was 36.1 and I weighed 204, I'm about 5' 3" tall. Since then I lost 10 lbs during my 6 months required visits and 10 on the one week liquid pre-op diet, after surgery (July 29) I've lost 29.6. So, I'm really happy so far with a total of 49.6 since January. I go for my 2 month post op (2 1/2 month really) on October 16. I asked Dr. Hoehn what I could expect to lose and he said I should be able to get down to about 135 and that's only 19.4 lbs way now so I think that is very doable! The ideal weight for my height (middle of the BMI scale for normal) would be 122 lbs. Not sure if I will try to go for that (or even 125) or not as an ultimate goal. I guess I will see how my health is at that point.

Hi, I hope everything is still going great for you! I've been thinking about you since I went to the support group meeting Thursday night. They had a cosmetic surgeon from Leawood, KS come. He does tummy tucks for around 10 - 12K (I'm pretty sure that's what he said) and I thought hmmm, maybe I'll go with Dr. Hoehn if I need one. LOL.

I still may need to go see him for all this skin hanging down under my skin. I'll let you know how that goes. Hope you are still loving your tt.

I see you just had a TT. I'm so happy for you! I hope you are feeling good and recovering well! You will have to let me know how you like the work after your bandages come off. I'm thinking I may have to do the same thing down the road, with the same surgeon. I think he is fantastic.

Thanks for the friendship. I'm new on here and still trying to figure it all out. I'm glad to find other patients of Dr. Hoehn. Looking forward to the next year and hoping to see lots of positive changes. Praying I'll be able to eliminate my CPAP machine, HBP and Cholesterol meds too! Fingers crossed.

Dr. Niebles in Tijuana has done all my plastics. I would be more than happy to share my Before and After pictures if you send me your email address. Mine is Christy_BeautifyMe@hotmail.com

I have been Dr Niebles' Patient Liaison/Nurse Coordinator since he did my tummy, arms and breasts. I have about 5 or 6 other gals I have sent to him who are willing to testify to his work. Not sure if they will send you pics, but I know they will answer your questions.
I look forward to working with you if you are ready for plastics!

Yup, the day is almost here. Been going over all the things I need to do. Lost 24 pounds on the 2 week prep diet, Dr Howen was impressed after I lost 18 pounds the first week, he then told me to eat a bit more, but just make sure I was still losing, went from about 3 pound a day to about 1 pound or less each day.

Feeling so much better at 24lbs less I can't wait for the rest of it to come off..
