Before After
Well here I am again. . . I was hoping to be able to journal more and after a decent start I fizzled out. I still come and read from time to time but since my surgery my days are filled with trying to live life without a stomach – per se. I spend more time trying to make sure I drink my 40 oz of fluids, get

Today is day 8 of my post surgery. Let me tell you I was giddy going into the operating room. I think my doc thought I was a little nuts! I wasn't nervous at all . . . .just super excited - I had complete faith in my doc. . . so what was to worry about??!!!

So here I am leaving for the hospital in one hour. . . . surgery is at 1030 CST. . . and

I just replied to a post about how funny it is that we are so open in this forum about the pros and cons of where we are and how we got here. It is such a great forum for support and kindness! We are making a life change and have consciously decided to do it. But getting to this point has not been an easy one for most of us. I can laugh, though maybe I should cry, at my self depreciating jokes I used to make about having a belly that wiggled like jell-o, or being Mrs. Claus, or being the Michelin

Ohhhh was I cocky when I said that this pre-op diet was a breeze!! I had called my nutritionist to ask some questions to make sure that I was on the right track with things. I was a little worried that I might have been "cheating" on the diet because I have been making soups and drinking juices that were not on my diet regiment (on the white pages of paper at least). I was also not losing a lot of weight which I thought I should be. Come to find out that I have been doing everything
