Hi! How are you doing? How is your journey going?
I have been on a lull for a while - my fault - I got a cold and quit going to the gym and I guess I have just been too lazy to go back - bad me! But the weather is finally getting nice again so my activity is increasing so I hope to see the scales move again! Even with the slow time I am pleased with the surgery - I have lost 80lbs so far and my knees and back are thanking me everyday!

Hey - we started liquid diet at the same time... have you cheated any? I was really good for 3 days - then cheated a little each of the last 4. I figure I had better be totally straight this next week since surgery is next Monday...wow can you believe it is next Monday!

Burning sensation

by fatspidey on 10-06-2014 at 10:06 PM
I am a year and 3 months out from surgery just in the last week I started having a burning sensation at the level just below the xiphoid process (lower part of sternum). Not sure if I overdid something moving some furniture. I am watching and seeing what evolves but started prilosec as a precaution.

Anyone have similar issues? Hoping nothing real going on.

New recipe Muscle Monkey Frosty

by fatspidey on 06-01-2014 at 06:56 PM
I came across this on the Premier Protein website.

It was more like ice cream than a smoothie. I will be making this quite often. What was better is my sleeve prevented me from eating all that I made in one setting.

Here is the recipe:

1 Banana peeled and frozen
1 Premier ProteinŽ Chocolate Shake
3 Tbsp Peanut Butter
Ice for volume
Directions: Break frozen banana into pieces, combine all ingredients in a blender and blend on high until

6 months post op

by fatspidey on 01-18-2014 at 06:51 AM
I don't write on here much but wanted to log where I am at after 6 months. I have lost 62 pounds since the journey began. I can eat just about anything if I want but have really not had the urge to go back to things that lead me to needing this procedure. I would recommend this procedure to anyone that has the will power to adhere to better behavior habits post op.

Nsv

Had a belated Christmas presents opening last evening. Prior to surgery I was close to a 40" waist. I was wearing baggy or relaxed fit 38s that were under much strain. Two of my presents were pants. One was a 34" and some how one was a 33" I was really uncertain since I have been wearing 36" for awhile. I tried them both on and both fit, they are two different brands but I was pleasantly surprised. I have gotten way to use to relaxed fit and now having something that
