Thank you so much. And I hope you have a wonderful summer as well! This is my first summer not having a big ugly belly and being able to wear a two piece! All those years of hiding my body and now I can finally be proud and show it off and not be embarrassed to go to the pool or beach like I used to. It feels great! I wish the same for every sleever!
  5. For me it was drinking... sipping, always sipping. And protein shakes - they want those levels to climb quickly
They sent me home on liquids & I believe progressed to soft foods soon after.
That was an issue for me because I couldn't stomach the shakes at that point. But be diligent & push yourself. I almost ended up being readmitted for lack of nourishment - it was not fun.
    Congrats on the weight loss!
Now I'm always pushing proteins first & it's working better.
  6. Hey there- Sounds like you're having a nice time out there. Yup- I'm sure you'll have a lot of trial and errors with trying different foods. I expect the same. This pre-op wasn't too bad eating wise, I just wasn't eating enough protien at first and that's why I got so weak. Now I turn the shakes into puddings which is more tolerable to me right now. From Monday thru Fri I lost 11lbs-just crazy...now that im getting more protein in I went back up almost 2lbs. but feeling so much stronger thankgod. Tell me. in the first 1-2wks did they have you drinking all the time and not focused on the time issue around eating? I forgot to ask. Thanks.
  7. Just checking in to say "Hello" & How ya doing this week? How are things progressing for you lately? My surgery is in 4 Days- holy crap! That number is hitting me today-lol. Having a hard time this week getting in enough protien and feeling very weak and shaky. Hope you are well and doing good. Keep us posted.
  8. HI- well I'm glad to hear you are back to work. Take it slowwww. Sorry to hear that your hospital stay got extended, but with having a hernia on top of everything else It doesn't surprise me. Glad you're eating better and getting more fluids in. I'm sure its not easy. Will be interesting how I do? Having an awful time trying to lose any weight prior to surgery. I go down several pounds and up again -frustrating. But that's why I'm here Trying to get myself all set up for my surgery in a few weeks. Getting excited. Well, keep up the good work. Have a great week!
  9. HI there- wanted to check in and see your progress is going? Just got my date for next month. What kind of ups and downs are you experiencing?
  10. Checking in to see how you are doing since your surgery? I just got my insurance approval so now I'm just waiting to hear from Dr. Hill's office. Crossing my fingers for late May or first of June.

Hey there - wanted to wish you well for your surgery. Looking forward to hearing from you on the Sleeved side.
  12. Thanks Lakegirl...I'll be sure to let you know how it goes. Doesn't hurt, knowing that Dr. Dreamy....I mean, Dr. Hill is the one doing the surgery.
  13. I see its tomorrow- Best of Luck...I know you'll do great. At ADK Med. Center they have the kindest and sweetest staff. I look forward to see how you made out in the coming weeks.
  14. Hi there- Sorry, I haven't been on here in awhile. Congratulations on your upcoming surgery or maybe you've had it already. Isn't Dr. Hill great?!
I actually haven't had my surgery yet- although somehow it keeps saying I have and I can't seem to change it. My paperwork is finally getting out tomorrow. I thought it went out weeks ago-uhg. I was just up that way today for a montly check-in. I went thru this all with my sister last year though so I'm familiar with pretty much all the ins and outs. Expect to be really bloated and gassy the first week or so. It will be difficult trying to eat/drink, but just have something next to you at all times and take tiny sips. I hope you have someone at home to help you out??? I know my sister slept in a recliner for the first week 1/2. She found a moist heat pad and pillow to really help out and to get up 2-3x an hour to move around. If I can answer any questions, pls feel free to contact me. Best of luck to you with your surgery I know you'll do great. Take care of yourself! - Kelli
