The Old Me Still Lives

I was hoping that the old me along with my eating habits had died a horrible death when I started my 6 month medical weight loss program prior to surgery. However, for the first time since my March 25th surgery date I ate today without thinking or measuring and I'm in pain. This pain crosses the spectrum of physical and emotional discomfort.

One month post-op!

Well yesterday was my one month anniversary of the sleeved life. I'm pretty excited! I'm 35 lbs down since the day of surgery! Hard to believe. I followed the six month medical weight loss program for insurance purposes and total I have lost 89 lbs in the last 7 months!

I laugh because I have an eighty pound bag of concrete in my garage and its great to look at that and know I've taken that much off plus a little more! I hope the next six months are as dramatic. I'm 13 lbs from the

Day 2

Well I have completed my second day of non-walking exercise since surgery.

I chose to swim and let me tell you it is tough. I walked almost everyday (missed one day due to tornado warnings) since the day of surgery and have been really pleased with my progress. However, these last two days of swimming have been a killer. Main areas of soreness are shoulders, triceps, and quads. Also my abdomen is tender.
