I've read all kinds of posts where people have had trouble drinking liquids after surgery. Well, I've never had that issue. I was able to take full swallows the day after surgery. Not sure what would cause people to have issues with just a smaller stomach. Maybe it has more to do with the tubes down the throat during the procedure? I don't know.
Anyway, I digress. With it being so hot lately here in the northeastern US, I have been drinking water like a fish. I can't gulp down

I'm not sure I noticed the stares or second looks that people must have given me when I was super heavy. I know my wife would see people look at me as I walked by, but I guess I was as oblivious to that as much as I was when I looked in the mirror. I didn't see a great big fat guy, I just saw me. It wasn't until I would see a photo of me that reality would really sink in.

Some of my goals, and I'm sure yours too, are to "Fit" into spaces that I could not fit into before.
Well, I've had some really pleasant occurrences that I want to share with everyone.
When the Man of Steel movie came out, I wanted to go see it in IMAX. Before, I would not fit into the seats, even at a newer theater. This time, not only did I fit, but I was so comfortable. You see, not only do you lose weight in the belly region, but everywhere!! My butt

13 weeks out from surgery. Everything has been a success so far. No side effects, can drink normally, food tastes the same, scars healed, feeling great. Not to mention that I am down 99 lbs since I first enrolled in my program. Down 49 lbs since my surgery on May 1st.
So, what's the problem you ask? Well you see, I've rediscovered bread and carbs. Been a little slack in planning meals and have resorted to selecting some sandwich items, eating crackers with cheese or peanut butter,

I used to be such a lazy SOB that I would plan my weekends around doing the very minimal to get by. Maybe mowing the grass (riding mower) or doing laundry. But basically scheduling my activities around what was on TV. If that's not the total definition of a couch potato, I don't know what is. I think my picture was in the dictionary next to that term!!
What a difference 7 months and 90 pounds make!! I have so much more energy and feel so much better that I spent all weekend doing
