11 days, 11 pounds. Woo! Hoo! Maybe more but haven't been on the scale for at least 4 days. I had a major day of sickness and pain Friday. started with the cramps in the stomach and coming out both ends soon to follow. Well, here I am waiting to be wheeled back. Scared out of my mind. Hoping I am doing the right thing. Wow, the emotions flooding through me.
Don't know what else to say except see you on the other side of my journey.. Yikes!

I am scared! I am excited! I am nervous! I am exhausted! I am a mess! And the list goes on.

I have been reading anything I can get my hands on above surgery, people's stories, before and after, etc. I don't think anything is going to prepare me for the changes ahead. My husband has been so supportive and my friends and my children.. I couldn't ask for better people in my life.

Here's to a great start to 2014!!

Hi, well here I am .10 days away from surgery. It took a whole year of appeals with insurance company to finally get my letter on Christmas Eve saying it was approved. Wow, I actually had given up hope. What a great Christmas gift. But now that I am getting so close I am getting scared. What a mix if emotions. I know this is the right thing to do though. I have too many health issues, three foster kids to keep up with and my first grandchild was just born. Time to take control of my life.
