You Look GREAT!! Thank you, I'm a little nervious but I keep thinking of all the things I will be able to do once the weight is off. I know my pains will go away too so that keeps me going. I looked at some of my smaller clothes yesterday and got really excited that I will be able to ware them again soon... Wow Monday is right around the corner

Aww Thanks Mark!! WOW you look Great! Your skin is glowing and you look refreshed! Ready to take on anything!
I'm very excited I didn't think it would go this fast but my Doctor is really great and helped with the insurance to process it quickly. I was very happy with how fast he and his staff was. I mean he's even going to help process the short term disablitiy. He will fill it out and I process it right there in the hospital two weeks before I even have my surgery... I couldn't be happier Oh and also I called my insurance and was told I should only have to pay my co payment which is $500.00 I'm so releaved. Its been a crazy year but this outcome will be worth it. I wake up every morning and think wow soon this weight will be off and I will be able to move easyer and feel better. As for the weight It started to come off quicker and I'm down 19 lbs so the doctor said that's good enough for some one like you

Yes, I did like Dr. A and his staff. The only thing that I would have liked to have been a little different is for them to be a little better about telling us what was going to happen next - but that's not a huge deal. I thought they were very organized and efficient.

YAY!! my surg was March 7th. I had a great experience also. I worked in hospitals for more than 20 yrs....and it was cleaner than most I saw! They do what needs to be done. It is definately not for the people who are whinners and need someone to "dote" on them the whole time. But I am not that kind of patient anyway! Congrats on your loss. I am down 34 lbs....my scale and I have a love/hate relationship! Have been hitting the gym pretty hard so my husband keeps reminding me muscle is heavier than fat!

Sorry I didn't get back to you sooner. I was in a bad car accident and now I'm focused on that so the surgery it going to be put on hold till this is over with. This is why I say 2 years because I have the worse luck Hopefully this is all the bad luck for the year. If I go the Mexico route I will let you know. I think I have been near that clinic before. A Friend of mine went near it for dental work. Thank you so much

3 Months out

by mstrigs on 07-11-2013 at 02:56 PM
Today is my 3 month anniversary from being sleeved. Down 64 lbs from pre op diet. 58 from day of surgery. I dont look, feel or most interesting act the same. Everybody says Im more mellow now. April 11th, the day of my surgery is without question one of the most important days of my life. A great decision to do this at least for me for those people out there wavering on this issue.

Soda but in particular Diet Soda

by mstrigs on 06-04-2013 at 10:03 AM
Hi all,

I was addicted to Diet Mountain Dew before the surgery. That was my coffee beforehand. In fact, there have been many posts on this web site about the evils of diet soda. But here is my question. I LOVED the taste of diet soda. I would drink up to 3 cans a day. Last weekend I tried if for the first time since my surgery( 7 weeks ago). I gagged. It tasted awful.

I am OK with this b/c we all know the negatives of diet soda. But has anybody else had major changes

49 days out and 49 lbs down. How ironic!

by mstrigs on 05-30-2013 at 02:02 PM
I am thrilled to be on this journey. However the last 5 lbs have been substantially harder than the previous 44. I am down to about losing 2-3 lbs per week. At first I was losing that almost daily To be expected I guess though.

by mstrigs on 05-11-2013 at 06:26 AM
A little update on me since today is my one month anniversary of my operation. I am down 38 lbs. My BMI is down 5 pts. I dont snore like a grizzly bear anymore. I don't crave BBQ food anymore. My appetite is way down. My current clothes are falling off me. All awesome news.

The wakeup call I had was yesterday I tried my suits from 10 yrs ago on for the first time and although I fit in them they were still very tight.(These suits had not been touched in 10 yrs!) And I tried
