So here it goes, I said I would never post my before pics online(they are awful). However, I took some pics this morning for my sister, the first pics I've taken post-op and did a comparison. OMG! I can't believe the difference. I really hadn't noticed it until today. I am 3 months and a week post-op, down 45 pounds and numerous inches. I LOVE MY SLEEVE! I bought a home gym system recently and work out 6 days a week. I also walk 3-6 miles every other day and on the off days ride my recumbent

Today is one month since surgery. I've lost 25.1 pounds, I had originally lost 28 pounds, went into a week and a half stall, gained some weight back but today started the scale moving again. I have also lost 13 inches, mostly from my hips and waist. I am walking a few miles 5 days a week, riding my recumbent bike about 10 miles 3 times a week and lifting light weights(I do not want wings!). I only eat a few ounces at a time about 4 -5 times a day. Any type of meat protein just doesn't work for me

Surgery was yesterday about 4pm. Everything went really well. My recovery couldn't be any better. I had a little bloody vomit foam like stuff which is normal. Very little gas issues either so far. No pain at all either. I've been up walking, showered. Leak test tomorrow and if all goes well off to the hotel. The staff her is great. Alma has a great laugh and is a big help to the patients here. Dr. Quinones has a great bedside manner and is a talented surgeon. If you come to Tijuana expecting

I've been trying to think of a creative way to track my journey. Of course I've done the usual spreadsheet with weight and measurement stats and will take pictures. But I thought since I love to quilt I would to make a memory quilt from some of my favorite clothes. I can add to it as my clothes become to big from different stages of weightloss until I reach my goal. I thought it would be a wonderful way to remind myself of where I've been and where I never want to be again. Each time I grab that

My mind is racing, my heart is pounding, I feel a strange kind of excitement(could be nausea) in my tummy. I just booked my surgery date, May 2, and my flight to San Diego. OMG! I am so ready to start this new part of my life but so scared at the same time. Can I do this? Am I ready? I tell myself I'm ready and I know deep down that I am. Ready to be able to take my kids to the zoo and not think of it as torture. Ready to hike the beautiful trails here in Hawaii with my husband. Ready to live
