  1. 100 day since I was sleeved. I have officially lost 60 pounds and am currently the lightest I have been in about 7 years. I give GOD glory. I for the first time can see the light at the end of the tunnel. Slowly but surely I can get to my goal weight. I am taking this as a lifestyle change. I am not journaling my meals or caloric intake but am making wise decisions in my food choices. I am listening to my body which is something I did not do in the past. When I am full I stop. I have not had a soda since April And I do not miss it. No cake or sweets or cookies. I try to get as much protein in as I can. Water is all I drink.except for an occasional cup of coffee at work. I have been very open with anyone who cares to know about my surgery. It was not a decision I made lightly. I accepted that I was done trying and failing. I needed help as got it. I could not do this on my own. I am happier with myself and feel good and optimistic. My ideal size is a 12 and I hope I get there soon but I am taking each day a a time. Believing GOD for the strength to see this journey to the end. I will stop rambling now. I wish you all the best and most importantly Devine success on this journey that we all share. I am blessed to have the resources I get from this site. I may not post much but check in daily and celebrate everyone's successes and support all those with challenges. GOD bless us all!!!

Hey guys..... :-/ Havent been on here in a while. I was very upset because I wasn't able to be sleeved. In 2008 I got the lap band and when doc went in and removed the band, my stomach was damaged and because of that he refused to do the surgery. His orders are to wait until my stomach heals in about 4 months and then he will do the surgery for me. I was very upset in the beginning but I am ok now. I know he was looking for my best interest. He says if I would have gotten it done while my stomach was damaged, I could have had leaks. And that's not a good thing ill post this on everyones wall who checked on me. Thanks guys for being concerned.

3 weeks out

by Ossa on 05-16-2013 at 10:11 AM
3 weeks out and 30 pounds lighter. To God be the glory, he has been truly faithful to me. No sickness or nausea. I started on puréed foods yesterday. I am very open about my surgery at work. I have nothing to be ashamed of. This was not a shortcut, loophole or an easy way out. I addressed a serious problem with drastic measures. I will not have people talking behind my back or making assumptions. Until you have walked a day in my shoes don't judge me. I am happy with the decision that I made and

One week along..

by Ossa on 04-30-2013 at 08:35 AM
1 week post op. I am grateful to GOD for his blessings and mercies. I am going well but for some incision site soreness and overall weakness. Am walking and trying to be as active as possible. Struggling to get protein in (can not stand isopure or new whey bullets) but have no issues with water.

Tomorrow it is onto the full liquid diet phase. Hopefully will start getting protein in. The lack of hunger is amazing. Last night I mentioned it to my husband and he fell silent, I think

A new me

by Ossa on 04-26-2013 at 12:44 PM
I was sleeved on Tuesday. So I am 3 days post op. It went well, thank God and I got home yesterday night. Praise Jesus no leaks. Sipping water since Wednesday morning.

I am feeling good. Now that the ferocious gas pains are behind me. I did have a moment of panic thinking "what have I done? I will never be able to stuff my face again! But I calmed myself, knowing I have made the right choice, not the easy one. And I am ready to gradually meet my new me.
