LOL the grumble kind of stays from my understanding. I had head hunger for the first 4 to 5 days. I am use to comfort food when sick or not feeling well. I craved my tomato soup, but I never gave in. Now I do get hunger but not like before and I fill up very easily. I can only get 3 to 4 oz. I have used a lot of beef low sodium bouillon to help some of my head hunger cravings. I am also loosing my sweet tooth. I just noticed you are in Virginia Beach! Thats awesome! Well Take care and keep me posted.

More fun stuff I couldn't do before surgery...

by SleevePal on 04-02-2013 at 02:35 PM
Just wanted to mention some things. Maybe I should list them as more reasons why I am glad I had this surgery.

More positive changes since I had the surgery:
1. Rode my bike Saturday with the kids and my husband. Was able to do more than just one lap. I definitely took a lot of breaks on the side of the road. But I haven't ridden that much in at least a couple of years.
2. Same day we hit some tennis balls around on the court with the kids. We couldn't really

Only 12 days post-op and life is already so much better....

by SleevePal on 03-25-2013 at 11:48 AM
Wow. I am so thankful I was able to have this surgery. I've never been able to lose weight like this before. I will weigh probably Wednesday, but I know I have lost at least 20 pounds already. Before the pre-op diet and surgery, I was really in a place where I had to start to lose weight or my life which was already suffering was going to be even more seriously hindered.

Here are some of the changes to my life ALREADY.

1. I was able to go to church yesterday

On soft foods ... bye bye head hunger

by SleevePal on 03-21-2013 at 11:27 AM
Ate some minced chicken with light dressing. I was full after a few bites. I had to wait 30 minutes after drinking to eat. And 30 minutes after eating to drink. I wondered how this would be for me. But it was no problem.

Also the head hunger seems gone since I had some non-liquid food. Yea!!!

I really feel content with my food at this stage. I have lost a total of 15 pounds as of yesterday.

p.s. A few times since surgery my head started aching.

Today I licked a potato chip

by SleevePal on 03-10-2013 at 04:54 PM
I am on a day liquid diet and my husband gave my kids some chips. They were the Lays Barbeque ones in the blue can. I always liked them because they were the right texture and crunch. But I politely asked for one. When my husband resisted my request I asked my son for one of his. He gave me one and I thoroughly licked both sides. I think I put it in my mouth and got all the seasoning off of it. Then I took it out and I was satisfied. I just wanted to share this information with someone.
