It is getting a little easier, but I am sooo sick of liquids..lol I know i need to let my stomach heal, so I am trying to do the right thing..lol

Hi I had my sleeve on the 21st march hmmm last Thursday in oz. Today is Sunday here so I am 3days post op. I'm finding it hard as I cannot get enough protein or fluids down yet. I managed a bit better today than yesterday so hopefully tomorrow will be better still. I am adding more water or milk to my shakes and find that the thinner my fluid is the more I can cope with. I am continually sip, sip, sipping tho and wonder how I will go back at work - one day at a time - I am marking each day off my calandar!!! Hang in there and let time pass.

You will get through it. I had the same feelings. I thought my tounge was going to fall out my mouth was so dry. Every time I took a sip it felt like I was swallowing glass! I have my protien shake every morning and its crazy I have to sit down to drink it I get so nauseous, and dizzy. But I force it down, it taste fine its just the reaction it gives me. Weird. I would say up until about a week ago I still had a hard time with fluids but now I can chug lol. So It does get better I'm time. ~Angela
