How are you doing? How is your weight loss going? We haven't talked in a very long time. Are you still having stomach problems? I have also experienced a lot of problems with my tummy. My surgery was July 3, 2012, and I have just recently ( in the last couple of months) stopped having pain, nausea, and various stomach problem. It's hard learning how to eat. Are you experiencing the same thing? If I eat one bite too much, I become ill. I am also lactose intolerant now.

I am doing well now. Loving my sleeve as well. My goal was 140 lbs. I am maintained at 133 lbs. I weigh every morning and stay on top of my weight. I eat just about anything I want, but it's all in moderation. Portion size had always been my problem. With my sleeve, I get full so easy that I just quit eating. Leaving food on my plate does not bother me anymore. I try to be careful because I don't want to stretch my stomach. I have always had a weight problem, and thankfully that's not a problem anymore. Would love to hear from you. God Bless! Dylee
  2. Hi guys sorry I havent been on in a really long time. I went for my Four week checkup with my surgeon on Friday. I am down 31 pounds!!! Things are going good as far as my recovery goes, but every morning my tummy feels like its doing summersaults. I am now lactose intolerant becaue any dairy upsets my stomach. I have had a few days of dumping so I always need to watch my labels. I invested in a bottle of Imodium so I could keep it at bay. I have gone down 4 sizes already woo- hoo!! Good luck to everyone who is having upcoming surgeries and who are recovering!!

Congratulations! My advice would be to practice eating and drinking like you'll need to after the sleeve. Start trying to form some habits!

Going ok! Slowly but I'm getting stronger each day. I'm on almost all foods, just no grains/bread/pasta/fibrous vegis. I'm adding unflavored protein powder to almost everything and getting about 100g per day. Had roast beef for inner tonight. I go back to work on Tuesday...we'll see how that goes.

    How are you doing?

    Hi,

I have autoimmune kidney diseae, which is going to be different from a kidney stone. However, as my kidney function is normal, I had no problems getting the surgery. I do spill a lot of protein and have microhematuria. The doctor was concerned about dehydration post surgery affecting my kidneys, but when my kidney specialist gave the go ahead, he proceeded.

I would just talk to the experts and as long as you are strong enough to make it those three weeks after surgery, I would not imagine it being a big issue.
