I am nearing the 6 month mark since having my surgery. Today, at my follow up visit with my surgeon I discovered that my BMI has dropped 10 points. I am now morbidly obese and no longer SUPER morbidly obese. I'm pretty happy about that.

The Susan G. Komen race for the cure was held in St. Louis today. It is a huge event with approx 60,000 participants doing the run or walk. My daughter has been going for about 5 years now and I have always wanted to do it also. There was no way in previous years I would even attempt to. WELL, this year I finished the 5K walk !!!!! It was kind of tough towards the end but with my daughter and some friends encouraging me I pushed myself and I did it. Although my body, especially my feet, are wore
