dental issues

Has anyone else experienced dental issues since surgery?
I had my sleep in February of 2013. I had not had any dental issues, not even a cavity, in 20 years. Since surgery I have had a fractured tooth and cavity in another tooth.
My calcium levels have been fine, I brush and floss regularly and eat very little sugar...This confuses me.
Anyone have any thoughts?

I had GERD before surgery that was controlled with Omeprozole. Since surgery it has also been well controlled until about a month ago (Im now 10.5months post-op). Im eating Tums like crazy! Did any body else experience this?
