Thanks Joanne. I feel the same way, it seems like so many are rushing into the surgery route unprepared or unrealistic on expectations. I don't post much. The only reason I am now is a result of my down time while I am healing from my recent procedures. Congrats on your success.

Did you like dr almanza? I am scheduled with him; but reading that dr Ortiz might be better... Does it matter?

Hi Joann I hope you are doing well. I'm 5 weeks out from surgery and I don't have a Nut so I wanted to ask you a question. When you have a snack, do you stop liquids 30 minutes before and 30 minutes after. I haven't had snacks yet , but I'm thinking I should soon start. If you can answer that I would appreciate it. Thanks.

You look wonderful, but more importantly is how you feel! At almost 54 I didn't worry about age, but getting the diabetes diagnosis was my tipping point. I conquered it and my arthritis preop, having lost over 35 pounds in the 6 months before, and I look forward to losing some other medical issues as my road continues.

Hi Joan, The clinic took care of all med. needs but I did take gas x. The insicisions are not large maybe one inch. The largest one is on the left side, this one is used to remove the piece of stomach. There is one under the breast,it can be irritated by your bra but mainly the left one takes the longest to heal. I cleansed with warm salty water and warm water and gentle soap. I believe that you are not going home so a good idea to take scrip for antibiotic from you person Doc. Everything else you may need you can get back in the US. Great to hear from you, take care. Joanne

Hi, I lI've in Canada also,up north of you near Timmins. I was wondering about how things went in Mexico, did you have any problems flying home? I'm 60 years old,& I worry about blood clots. I'm going to puerto Vallarta in Mexico & I'm having Dr Hadalgo do the surgery, on January 31. If you have any tips to give me I would be grateful. Thanks.
