Jaonne, thanks for stopping by. You look fantastic! As a nearly 65 year old, I wondered if I'd made the right choice to have surgery, any surgery let alone the *sleeve*. But after nearly 1 year, I know I made the right choice. I'm free from a body ravaged by multiple illnesses. Diabetes, HP, congestive heart failure all in remission, and just last week, my thyroid meds were decreased. Loving the freedom from a lifestyle restricted by illness and weight.

Hi Peggy, Thanks and I am pleased that my message helped. 2 yeras ago Feb. I was at the point where I didn't care if I lived or died. So many successful weight losses and so many even more successful weight gains, I had had it. From somewhere a web site showed up about the sleeve. I had never heard about it. I had a lap band hat cost me 16,000. and it failed and had it removed.
So here was this new thing that I explored and realized that this was what I needed. It was in Mx.
I did not have any more money to pay for it so I put it on my visa. April 17/2012 I was sleeved by Dr. Almanza in Mx. Best bloody thing I have ever done. Good luck Joanne ps Any quetions just ask.

Hi Joanne! I'm so glad to hear from someone my age!!! I actually asked the doctor if I was too old for this and they assured me that I'm far from the oldest. I identify with your start point so much... I too have BP, Chol, arthritis, diabetes, and so many other weight related issues... But the one that has pushed me into action is the depression... I don't even want to leave my house any more and that's just not like me. I am so motivated after reading about so many positive experiences... but yours really is closest to me, so thanks for reaching out!

No I've not had any typical uti symptoms. But the last time I had one my Bp was up & I was lightheaded. Must be from the infection in my system

Hi Joanne, I see you are on your computer so I just had a quick question. Some people are saying their Dr. wants them to never ever us Advil or Ibuprofen again, but they can use Tylenol. Have you heard this and do you use any of these products? Two more weeks today YA!!!
