I mean I know what the scale says, but to finally see some comparison images really hits home. My daughter's elementary school has a Father/Daughter dance. Last year it was in February about two weeks before my surgery and they just had this year's last week. What a difference 9 months makes. Feeling pretty good right now.

Well finally after countless attempts of procrastination, I finally made it to the gym. I did an upper body workout and well a few things stood out - one) I can hardly type right now because my arms are Jello, two) I have become incredibly weak - I mean I knew I would not be that strong as before, but what a shock and three) One day at a time, hopefully I can stay on the horse for good.

Watching re-runs of the big bang theory last night and a comercial for gastrict sleeve surgery comes on. I was shocked and looked over at my son to make sure he just saw what I just saw. It was for the Southside Regional Medical Center (south of Richmond, VA).

Well it appears my stall is officially over as I am now out of the 270's. Weighed in this morning at 268. My new favorite # is 38. As in waist size. Bought a pair of khaki 38's from the goodwill (best $3.99 purchase I've had in a while) I can honestly say that I have no freaking idea the last time I wore a 38. I do know it was in the 1990's, but really can't pinpoint the year in question. Feeling good and rocking the sleeve. Not a bad Monday after all.

So I finally got to see my primary care physcian today and boy was she impressed. Down 75 pounds will surpise just about anyone. Anyway here are some of the benefits of the VSG for me so far:

• No more Cholesterol medicine
• No more CPAP!!!
• Reduced BP medicine strength - will be wathing/monitoring until my physical in November and hopefully bye bye BP pills
• No longer take daily antacid - my reflux is gone
