Gallbladder, stalls, hair loss and small victories
After I had my sleeve out in everything went great until about 3 weeks out. I was so sick and unable to eat or drink anything. The diagnosis: pancreatitis, the cause: my gallbladder. So 10 weeks after having my sleeve put in, I went under th knife again to get my gallbladder out. Now typically gallbladder surgeries are outpatient surgeries. I was expected to how later that day. Am I ready?
I'm still having pain when I eat and they aren't sure why. I am having a HIDA scan tomorrow and blood work to see if my pancreas enzymes are still elevated. My doctor gave me a medicine to take that coats your stomach and helps heal ulcers, in case that is it. I have an upper GI scan next week to check for that. I also start back to work Friday after 8 weeks off. Being a behavior teacher with students who can be violent, I'm not looking forward to going back to work. At least there is only 8 weeks

So for the past week and a half I have been sick. Found out yesterday it is pancreatitis. I went to an infusion center yesterday and had to get three bags of fluids. My doctor says at tis point all I can do is push fluids and help flush it out. She said most people need 64 oz of fluids, but I'm so dehydrated I need to be getting 80-100 oz! I am struggling to get in 20, so we will see how we'll that goes. I am still rotating between the 3 anti- nausea and spasms meds, but apparently there is a certain

They gave two bags of IV fluids, anti-nausea meds, did blood work, a urine analysis, a chest x ray, and a ct scan. I don't have a leak, but I do have the flu, bronchitis, and a bladder infection. The radiologist also found another spot on my liver... In November I found out I have focal nodular hyperplasia which is a non cancerous tumor. They weren't going to do anything but now I have a second one. I will be calling my liver doctor tomorrow I guess! Hoping for good news from him!
Back to liquids only :(

I am pretty sure I have the flu now.. I went from horrible body aches and not feeling like eating yesterday to not being able to take a sip of water without feeling like I'm going to be sick. I was able to keep enough liquids done yesterday so that I didn't get dehydrated, but I'm worried that might happen today since I can't even drink anything! I left a message at my doctor's office, I will have to see what they say. Did anyone else get the flu after getting the sleeve? Any suggestions?
