Course I'm not offended about the cat joke. Loving your sense of humour. Even more so considering he is not even my cat!! Have started my healthy eating and lost 6lbs, nibbling (pardon the pun) into the 28lbs minimum that I have to lose before surgery.

Please forgive me, I forgot to write back... I appreciate the best wishes...they mush have helped because everything has been fantastic. The only soreness I still have is in my 15mm incision. I assume it's because it was the biggest, that its taking a little longer too heal. I cant remember if I talked about my scale incident or not, but I'll make it a short story. right before I started my 4week diet I ordered a scale that weighed up to 550lbs. Well I assumed I was around 450lbs. I got on the scale and It couldn't read my weight. I was over 550lbs. Hit me like a train. Im not emotional but I sat down and cried for a minute. Anyways since my surgery I decided I was going to wait a month to weigh myself. Because I didnt wan't to see just a few pounds at a time go. I wanted to see A bigger change...anyways My girlfriend weighed herself and my son yesterday so I said what the heck, and tried it again. Remember this is only 5 weeks since I started my preop diet and one week out of surgery...I stepped on the scale and it kept bouncing between 519lbs. and 521lbs. I've lost atleast 30lbs already. I figure its really more around 35-40lbs but can't be sure! It was good for the motivation!

Had my visit to the Doctors and he has agreed to sleeve me, makes me pretty scared and very excited as well. I did originally have a date of the 18th November but will have to put that off till Feb next year due to financial strain
How are you travelling along with your journey?
Re the on-line stuff, I work and spend most of my day behind a PC, the last thing I want to do when home is go on-line - any other suggestions?

Thank you for your message. I'm in fremantle WA. Only 5 sleeps for me to go. I'm getting really excited - like a kid at christmas. I've written myself a list of dozens of things to do so that I don't chicken out at the last minute. I know this is the best thing that I can do for myself.

Hi Sandy, thx for your mess i'm from albury nsw and due to be sleeved by Dr Harrison Oct 18th in Wagga Wagga even tho i have 6weeks or so to go i'm starting to get really nervous i know i want it done and can't back out now but still very scared, i have just started living on my own and trying to deal with moving to a new area looking for work and the fact that i have no one to call on in an emergency but i know i'm strong and a surviver so just need to get out of the house and start to move on with my life good luck to you

Hi Sandy. thanks for the message. So we will be getting done around the same time. I don't have a confirmed surgery date yet but it is going to likely be around the end of January......I would love for you to share your story and how you came to the decision of getting gastric sleeve....Thanks so much for the message and I hope to hear from you soon

Hi Sandy, thank you for the friend request. I have had the sleeve and am post-op 9months. I have lost 90lbs. I still struggle, but know now that it is the head hunger I struggle with. I look forward to getting to know you. Jenn

Hi Sandy - lovely to accept your friendship status..... Your from NSW, where abouts exactly, I'm in the ACT. I am also very new to this site and have not had the sleeve yet (very scared about it - feel like a failure in not being able to control my weight issue etc etc) but have an appointment on the 9th Sept. Hi Sandy , how are you ? I am new to the thread myself and had a gastric sleeve about 3 1/2 months ago and have lost 29 kg's so far.

I am a 52 year old (increasingly good looking) male !
