Hi Jean, How are you? I know exactly where Mecca is. I just read about the 75 year old lady who died in a house fire there. So sad. I feel for her family I also used to go to Mecca because my Dr was Dr Urban until my insurance did not cover him. He was the best Dr I ever had so it figures insurance would drop him. Who did your surgery? What hospital did you go to? How were you post op? I went to Cleveland suburb Willoughby Hills and saw Dr Aviv Ben-Meir who has a Bariatric Center called Lake Health Bariatric Center. The hospital I had my surgery was Lake Health Tripoint Medical Hospital in Concord/Painesville. I loved both care from both Dr Ben-Meir , his staff and the hospital. No complaints at all over post op. No complications at all. Nothing like others have complained about like gas, nausea or pain and in fact it was so easy on me I wondered if the dr really did the surgery. I lost 34 lbs and I am 9 weeks out. I am 56 lbs away from Dr's goal weight for my size. He wants me to get to 125 lbs. continued'

Ohhh I dunno about.. obedient. lol. It's been nearly two years for me now and I have definitely slipped on the rigid rules I once had for myself. But it is forever a learning process. I still say that if you stick to your basics ..( like protein first!) you will be successful and healthy. Your sleeve will make you successful regardless, it's up to you to remain healthy

I actually loved Brooke ~ she's so positive and helpful! I didn't meet her until after my surgery tho.. Erin was my dietician, she left a while back
The diet that they lay out for you is a guide. It is very strict to anyone's standards and is meant to teach us what we obviously could never figure out ourselves. Brooke will forever encourage you to stick to the diet, get your exercise in (which is ridiculously important) and do what ya gotta do so the insurance company approves your surgery
Your sleeve will help with everything else. It's impossible for you to wrap your mind around the changes that are about to head your way.. but believe me, you will appreciate everything they're doing after your surgery.
Congrats on your decision ~ it will be the best thing that you've ever done! Can't wait to watch your progress!
