Day 4 post op - it's pretty rough, I'm having tons of head hunger and I am in fact hungry! My kids had pizza for dinner today and it's making my tummy rumble like crazy!!!

I keep having these weird hiccups that hurt like crazy.... I'm hoping that will stop in a jiffy!

All in all everything is going good, I'm just waiting this phase out - I HAVE lost 11 lbs though... yeeehaw!!!

Leah, just wanted to wish you good luck on your surgery. Enjoy your flight and your time in Mexico. I am having my surgery in July With Dr. Almanza and I am excited to hear how it goes with you and hear about your progress.

After about 1 week, you don't really even think about it. Funny that without the carbs i don't sleep much and i feel more alert. I work 12 hour nights in Emergency Room Trauma and on the run all night. The liquid protein keeps me full of energy. I have to drink constantly and pee my brains out day and night. The weight drops 1 to 2 pounds a day. Good thing I've kept all my clothes. I have pants from 32" waist to 52" waist. Today I am back in 36" waist. My shirts med. to 3xl. Today i am back in large shirts. I am feeling definite improvement in my confidence, self esteem, and pride. Nice for a change. Depression, fatigue, and sadness gets old. Finally pulled myself up out of a black hole. See you on surgery day. Three days away. Yahoo !!

I found a post by you with your picture and you look so skinny, so I assumed you are a lower BMI candidate. I am a lower BMI as well and just wanted to chat with you about your upcoming surgery. I have a consultation next Monday with a surgeon here locally in Texas, but if it does not work out I will be considering Mexico. Hope to talk to you soon. Lola

wow! I didn't mean for it to be that harsh!! Every time you post a comment on any thread I get two or three emails. So not just messages to me ANY post you make gets emailed to me... I was wondering how I can make it stop, I love reading the posts but I don't need to follow all of your posts! LOL
I don't want to put you on my ignore list, that's not what I was getting at - I just want to get rid of the email notifications for every move you make on this site - I feel kinda creepy!! haha

Leah, You still excited??? My flight get in on the 4th but at 9:00 am in San Diego. They are picking me up at noon and doing all my testing, etc.... I will be back by the time you get in. The pictures of the Hotel Tiquan's bar looks really nice. I think a little drink before the midnight cut off for us is definitely in the picture. I still can't stop going over my lists and repacking. It helps me to realize that this is definitely going to happen.

Yeah, I fly in on the 4th as well... my flight gets in to San Diego at 4pm then we're heading straight to the Hotel. That's interesting to know about Dr. Almanza - I'm gonna try and push to be one of the first ones as well!!
