I cam back on Tuesday after getting home on Sunday. I'm doing ok but struggling with getting in enough liquid I think. I have hit a stall already and that is frustrating....I didn't write down my weight when i got home on Sunday so I'm not really sure what I have lost since surgery but in total since I started my pre op diet i have lost 34 pounds. I still have a lot of cramping and back pain which I think must be residual gas. I'm just so unsure of what to eat and not to eat, I tried a protein shake and that didn't set so well but thought I would give it a few days and try again.

Hi, things have been different this go around. I for sure have a much smaller stomach than what my original surgery! I have heartburn/acid re flux and I have to take Prilosec daily now, which I never had the first time.
I'm now 159.5 as of the other day. Weight loss is slow but that's fine with me at this point. I don't want to get too small or be on a forever diet either. I want to be able to eat whatever I want just small portions infrequently... I have no appetite 2-3 weeks a month, then the week before
my monthly I want to taste everything. :-) Started off 187 before surgery, 182 surgery date, now 159.5 9 weeks post vsg.
I work out 5-6 times a week for over an hour, I think that has helped a lot.

How are you doing?

I always have heartburn bad! Eating is not where it should be & neither is my fluid intake..nor my protein intake..nor my vitamins! Nothing feels very good in my stomach. It hurts some or I feel nauseated. Have been stuck at 166 for a wk now. Am tired ALL the time & frequently dizzy. Getting to where I don't even care about sex anymore..guess things are not ok are they?! Don't feel dehydrated but I know I am on the dry side by how my urine is. Just cant get enough in me! I really worry that I should have left well enough alone instead of going after the who enchilada!Have you compared your xrays to see the difference in the size & shape of your stomach from each surgery? and yes...start adding soft meats with what you are already taking in. Fish is good to start with.
thanx for listening to me complain! Cant talk to Randy about this...he is already concerned & was not for a second surgery to begin with. There is good news..got fitted for my wedding dress & it just hung on me! Luckily I got a smaller size & have to admit I look a lot better!! Also bought an evening gown..in a size 8!!!(started at 26) Went to Victoria Secrets & got fitted for bras...bought a few hundred dollars of them & threw out all the ones in my drawer! The 'girls' are very happy now!! lol Well, hope things get better for you. & like I said ..if your new stomach is not telling you when enough is enough...then you need to measure & stick to an amount that you feel you should be at. Possibly, i am going to stick it out unitl i get to solid foods and if i still dont have a restriction, my surgeon is gonna be in a world of hurt.

I wonder if it could be the opening to your tummy is large?

I was at Easter dinner and my MIL made deviled eggs and I had 1 bite! She also made meatloaf I had two bites and some roasted veggies I left a ton on my plate--what kills me is how my eyes have no clue yet on what my tummy can handle! I keep getting MORE food than I need

Good !!! I had to get "restitched" There are two spots of stitches that did not heal too good, so I had to go to the immediate care center and they fixed me right up! I am having an awful time with acid like bubbling in my stomach..I am not hungry but do suffer from Head hunger...that is going away..but my scale has not moved --I have lost 23 pounds so far since 3/6. I am glad you are doing great! I have been eating a black bean pureed soup and a chicken white chili ..but I cannot tolerate cottage cheese, jello etc

You got your re-sleeve? How are you feeling? Hope all is going well. You may find it is a bit different then with the first one. I am still having difficulty with solid food. Let me know how everything is going...and you have my phone number if you would like to call.

Hey There, How did the Resleeve go verse your initial Sleeve? Pain, gas, recovery...

My first sleeve, I had major gas pains for about 24-48 hours and then I was fine. This time I had
scar tissue so he put a drain in, which he doesn't normally do for first timers, but yes for revision
just to be safe. A lot more gas pain that lasted more days! And I'm suppose to be on a 4 week liquid diet, no pureed foods. All is well, still recovering each day. Not much sleep this time. The meds have me sleeping in and out from 1/2 hour to 1-1/2 hours at a time. Not sure if it's because I'm so excited like a little kid because I know what's next or what. My blood pressure has been up since surgery. But my Dr. said it was due to pain, meds, and recent surgery. I was 179 SW and 5 days later 173.5 now :-)
