I just wanted to say Hello, I also had Dr. Ceppa - he is my life saver!
I was sleeved 4/18/12, being 340 +/- at the age of 41 I needed to do something so I could see my children grow up. I was going to have the band but after alot of research I pushed forward for the sleeve, Unfortunatly I lost too much weight during my six month of nutrition and insurance crap. BUT Dr. Ceppa went to bat for me and got it approved. I had my yearly check up and i stood there and thanked him as i cried. He has changed my life. within 1 year I lost 140 lbs and hit my goal of 200 lbs. I bounce from 195 to 202 but I am where I want to be. I am not on here much but I always check to see if there is any local people. Keep your chin up and strive forward, good luck.
  6. Thanks everyone...I am 3 weeks out and doing pretty well..lost 24 pounds so far. Not much appetite, not much room. I had a hernia removed with the band, and then the sleeve done.

Hi Cher, just popped in to wish you all the very best for your sleeve surgery. I'm 14mths out and have had no problems with it at all, it was really easy for me - lucky I guess, but it also depends on how much you really want this. Have a read of my blog when you can (preferably before your surgery) as I feel being armed with as much info as you can really helps. I've made a 'coffee table book' of my whole journey which is a visual reminder to never return to that dark place. As long as you follow the program as instructed by your doctor, you'll see the scales change EVERY DAY!!!! I wish you all the very best, and a speedy recovery to the new you! See you on the 'other side' Sharon

Before children. Before menopause. the only difference now is that I have loose skin and droopy boobs and butt. I'll live with it. My cholesterol and other levels are normal. I no longer have sleep apnea. No joint pain. No waking up in the middle of the night to pee. I forgot what it was like to live like this.

5 weeks out, lost 26 pounds, can hardly eat a thing

Is this all normal? I dreaded Easter and now I am dreading Mother's Day. Will I ever eat a small plate of food again?

All the different protocols - do the doctors not get the same education?

My goal is 150 pounds. I have 47 to go. Maybe by Thanksgiving... and I sure will be thankful! Good luck and good health everyone.
