thank you for getting back with me .yes I would like for you to be my nurse it would be nice to no someone that has been through it.and yes if your not available ask the other nurse that has been through it.and having the best anesthesia would be good lol.i have insurance they pay 10.000.00 for the surgery and everything else they would pay 100% so that's why I was asking how much the surgery itself was .dr knapp said it would take about 2 hrs I hate surgery so scarey I haven't had many surgerys .anyway they just called me today for the dietician apt I have to do 4 then the phsycologist I hope that how you spell it.so im guessing maybe around oct when I will have it done. have you had any regrets? I hate reading about people having problems then I think about not doing it, I don't have any health issues and I don't want any that's why I want to do this .im excited but scared to.have you had any problems? looks like your doing great!! wow that good for 4 months congratulations!!! well ill go for now but looking to hear from you again. thank you so much for the info.

Well, had the added benefit of working as a RN in surgery so I know Dr. Knapp very well & he is an excellent surgeon. During your surgery he will work with a partner & I would suggest that you ask that he work with Dr. Puster (she is also an excellent surgeon). I work for Elkhart General and they have a special clause for weight loss surgery so mine only cost $2,000. It lasted about 2hrs and I didn't have to many complications. I still work PRN in surgery so if you wold like I would be happy to come down an be the nurse during your case. Just let me know. I'm a little over 4 months out and I've lost about 70lbs. We have the best anesthesia.....if you want me to be your nurse I can look at the schedule and make sure you get the best anesthesia. Just let me know. Either way, no matter who you get, you're in good hands. Let me know if you have any questions. There is also another nurse down there that had Knapp do her surgery & I can hook you up with her too!!

hi Melinda I haven't had the sleeve done yet but in the process. ive been on this sight for months and your the first one I seen that your from Elkhart and you had dr knapp me to. I thought it was pretty cool . so what I would like to ask is . anything you can tell me to relax my nerves lol and how long was your surgery? and also I would like to ask you if you don't mind how much was your surgery ? I grew up in elkhart (worked at EGH in 1992 when I got out of nursing school) do you work at EGH? I also was born there... Live in western Ky. now. I miss Elkhart sometimes... Keep in touch..
