- Biography:
- I am 45 years old woman with a 25 year olds thrill for life, but my body makes me feel more like i am 75 ;) .... I was never an overweight girl growing up, actually i was pretty durn cute, but then life hit me as it does everyone, I got married got pregnant and then I got a visitor named Mr. Gut and then he invited his friends hips, arms and cousin thighs to move aboard as well. Well needless to say I am am a nice sized gal now, In hunters terms I would dress out to be about a good 280 lb. , good eatin; size if you must know. But through all of the depression, self esteem issues, aggravation from clothes shopping, people asking when my baby was due and all of the stereotypical crap that comes along with being overweight, i never lost my sense humor, that is the last thing I want to lose in my situation. I have worked all of my life, until 3 years ago and that is because my knees got worse, I will have to have 2 total knee replacements, My fibromyalgia was killing me and dragging me down bad. If anyone knows or suffers with depression, anxiety or bipolar, heck they seem to be my best friends because they never seem to want to leave ;) ..... Then I heard about the gastric sleeve, and I have studied about this procedure and compared it to the bypass and the lap band, and I knew this was for me.... So I talked to my sister who is VERY diabetic and asked her if she wanted to do this journey with me, and guess what, we are in the process of going through all of the steps now and hope to have our surgery in March or the first part of April 2013. I am very excited and hope that I can look as fabulous as I claim to be.

Feeling so Anxious , happy and worried all at the same time.....

My name is Kim, I am a 45 year old woman that is so ready to have my second chance at having a life, but in the same sense I cant seem to find a protein drink that I can stomach. I am just now in the beginning stages of my surgery. I have had a consult and I have attended the nutrition class, I go for my psych evaluation on march 19th ( soonest I could get it) , and then I should get my surgery date.
