So Im now 2 days post op & still in the hospital. They nicked my spleen when going in so I have a drain & I actually do have a good bit of pain. Im having trouble gettin my liquids in because as soon as I take a sip, I immediately feel full & bloated. So day 3 of the all liquids pre-op diet is proving to be MUCH easier than day 2. Yesterday I seriously thought I could shove an entire "insert something that can be chewed" in my mouth and not think twice about it. I didn't, of course, but the idea crossed my mind... often. As of noon today, I'm officially on the downhill side of this week and surgery is right around the corner. WOO HOO!!!

SHIT! SHIT! SHIT!! Tomorrow begins my 7-day all liquids fast & surgery is just a week away! Im FREAKING OUT!!!! I heard once that we can get through anything as long as we know there's an end so, as with all the other unpleasant, painful, difficult & life-altering things that have happened in my life, all the inconvenience of the fasting & the pain/discomfort is only temporary & will be worth it on the other side!
