Hey there sorry I just saw your message now when I did a search on Perth .doh !
Wow that's amazing ! Congrats that is really awesome !
I am now 21 days away from Surgery and on the Optifast diet from hell lol ! 3 kilos down but stressing as need to make it to 10 kilos off arghhh...
    Excited but wicked nervous too
How are you doing ? Hope you had an awesome Xmas and new year !
  2. Hi Pip. The surgery date will be here before you know it. I've got a friend who had the surgery last week and he was over 200kg and he's recovering beautifully. I can't believe where I am to where I was. I couldn't fit into a size 26 and now I'm a size 16 or sometimes a 14. I do have the saggy skin but I'd rather have that then be as big as I was. I haven't seemed to have lost for the last 4 months but had an update with the surgeon and he said that that's where my body is comfortable and not to worry. He's really impressed with how far we've come. The BMI index and where our weight should be is irrelivant for females he reckons. The studies were done in the war and for men so I felt better about that LOL. Keep me posted on how you are doing? Where do you live in Perth?

Hi there ... Just wanted to say hi I'm from Perth as well and I have my surgery booked for the 29th of Jan.
I am so inspired by your fantastic weightloss !
  4. Hi Charlie, Congratulations on making that step for your surgery. You really won't regret it at all. I had Gordon Padovan and was at The Mount Hospital for the surgery. He was fantastic. I am 6 months out and have lost 39 kilos. I'm now less than when I got married 7 years ago. I was a size 28 and heading to a 30 and now am a size 22. I feel fantastic and am doing water aerobics twice a week but I'm running after my 2 littlies which I could never do. I am so confident and I'm getting compliments from Mum's I've never spoken to at school too. That's the best feeling. If you have any questions then please inbox me again and we'll chat :-) Take care.

1kg to go to reach 50kg loss

by MsTna71 on 02-06-2012 at 04:24 AM
I haven't been on for awhile. I'm still absolutely loving that I had the surgery and I'm feeling fantastic. I'm 1kg short of 50 kg loss and have another 20 to 30kg to go. I've gone from a size 28 to an 18 and want to be a 14. I've been walking and the kids ride their bikes and I even ran about 100m. I have never run except back at school LOL. I'm seeing my family at Easter in Brisbane and I know they'll definitely see the difference. My wedding dress and my sisters bridesmaid dress are too
