- I was banded in 2003. In 2012 I had the band removed because I was having complications with it. I had a 4cc band and it caused esophageal dilation. A couple of my goals is to be able to ride on a plane comfortably, and ride the amusement park rides with my daughter.

On September 5th I weighed in at 338pounds. This was 4 pounds under my goal weight in order to have surgery (my surgeon required me to lose 10% of my body weight on my own before I could have surgery.) I reached a mile stone and was over the moon. I worked hard for it and I reaped the rewards. The PA that I saw was very happy for me and said, "Now don't gain anything!! At least nothing above goal weight." Goal weight for me was 342 pounds. I see my surgeon for a pre-op appointment

I have a question. How many people on this forum have been sleeved in pairs? I mean, did you get sleeved and then your partner also got sleeved? Or maybe the other way around? I ask because I am really hoping that my husband decides to get sleeved after me. He went to the seminar and he went to the first appointment with the surgeon. My husband does have other problems that he is getting addressed right now (severe back and shoulder issues). I am guessing that the sleeve is probably in the

First, I would like to thank you all for being so supportive, I love this forum. I wanted to tell my story of how I got here.
In 2000 I got really sick and was diagnosed with what was thought to be Crohns Disease. I was tired all the time and all I wanted to do was sleep. I was being transfused 2 unit of packed red blood cells every two weeks just to keep my H/H levels in the low levels of normal so I could at least function. I got sick of all the transfusions and the medication not helping
