Part 2: The surgery was done. Poof didn't know anything. I was still sleeping.

I barely woke up from the staff transferring me from the gurney onto my hospital bed. I was the second patient in the morning and went about 10 am and woke up a little after 5pm (love anethesia sleep). My girlfriend woke me up and said, you need to get walking. So we walked. Now everyone gets a swollen sleeve. Mine happened to be really swollen. It has nothing to do with the surgeons. After I would get back from my walks, I would have this horrible retching, vomiting. When I mentioned this to my surgeons, they knew immediately to give me IV steriod and like magic, poof, it was gone. Like having Jesus infused into my IV, worked like a miracle. After three days, no pain medications what so ever! My incisions are very tiny. If you want pics of my incisions, I can text them to you. Anyway, that's it. I've lost 33 lbs in 5 weeks. My sister has lost over 70 lbs in 5 months. Best of luck to you. I'm very biased though and love my surgeons. I would recommend them to family, friends, and also my patients.

    Read this one first:

If you pm me with your email addry, I send you 6 video clips that will show you what the surgery looks like and most common questions answered by a surgeon. Everyone's experience is different. I have a blog that takes you through my experience.
First, you will have lab work done, I had an EKG due to me having congenital QT prolongation. You may or may not have an EKG done. Then, they will insert an IV for fluids and medications. You will receive antibiotics and pain medication and/or antinausea medication if needed. Next, you are wheeled to the operating room (I was in a wheelchair) or gurney. I got up on the OR table. They will place the monitor pads on you as well as a blood pressure cuff and O2 sensor. I talked to the Anestheiologist for a couple of minutes, then I was put into the best sleep.
