Thanks for the welcome and good luck with your surgery whenever you plan to have it. It was the best decision I ever made and am so glad I had the surgery.

I think you should request the entire two weeks than if you decide to go back early then you can, if you feel you need more time you already have it. Just to be on the safe side. I would recommend my surgeon, I actually now coordinate for him because I highly recommend him. I honestly feel like you get all the service everyone else is getting for a more reasonable price that fits everyone's budget. We really try to work with everyone who really wants the surgery. At the end of the day we care about the person. I try my best to keep up with everyone best I can. If you want I can email you a packet to let you know what you can expect if you did have surgery. You can read it but everyone I send it too, usually have like a hand ful of questions afterwards if that. I made a really detailed pamphlet with photos and other sleevers helped with some input to improve it. I am always improving it to give pre-sleevers the knowledge they need to make an informative decision about this surgery. I was a patient before I became a coordinator so I know exactly what I wanted to know and put that with things I found out after surgery that I never thought about. Well let me know inbox me your email if your interested. Also our website if you go to the FAQ's (weightlosswithsurgery.com) you can find a WEALTH OF INFORMATION a lot of patients say our site is the most informative of all the sites they been too. Thanks to a former patient who redid the site.

Yes, black women do scar verses nonAA women my scars are way more evident I had surgery. Pre-op varies it is like stages for some. myself personally it took about 2 and a half weeks for the tenderness in my stomach to stop from the third. Then for the actual stomach to not hurt anymore when I ate food it took about 3 months that's why so important to follow the guidelines they gave you because I really didn't do that so well so it took me a little longer how to get it right.depending on what type of job you have you can go back to work maybe a day after your released from the hospital it just all depends on you yourself some people go to have surgery Friday and they're back at work by Tuesday so just depends on each individual and what you do for living.
