About Tkvlandette
Sleeved or not sleeved:
I have had a gastric sleeve.
Biography:
My name is Taylor and I'm 33 years old and (was) 275 lbs. I've struggled with weight my whole life, and the only time I've been thin was during my early 20's (in what I like to call my party phase). My weight has gotten out of control in the last 4-5 years. I have a wonderful husband who loves me just as I am, but I really want to be able to love myself the same way. My surgery is about 3 weeks away, and I'm both excited and terrified at the same time. I'm just ready to start this journey to "the new ME"!!!

When they say the scale isn't everything, they mean it!!!

by Tkvlandette on 03-17-2013 at 06:20 PM
To say I've been frustrated with the scale would be an understatement. Although I've heard that the scale isn't what's important, I didn't realize just how true that was until yesterday. Monday will be 6 weeks since surgery and I've only lost 30 pounds so far, so I decided it was time to take my measurements again. I have lost 3 inches off my neck, 2 inches off my chest, 4 inches off my arms, 3 inches off my waist, 3.5 inches off my hips, and a whopping 9 inches off my thighs, for a grand total

I am ready to do this, as I've started my soft/blended food stage. My question is this: are there any rules that I need to know to cook with protein powder? For example, is it going to clump, separate, burn? Do I need to cook it a certain temperature? Can it be added to both cold and hot ingredients?? I'm hoping someone will have some good
