Hi Linda! I take a 500 mg Cayenne capsule before breakfast (with my coffee, oye!). I get them at GNC Vitamin shops, or maybe Rite Aid has them but they may only be in California. Your big pharmacy stores may have them. But please check with your doctor/surgeon first, as this may irritate your stomach. The Cayenne revs up your metabolism, and I've lost 4 pounds in one week!! Didn't lose a pound for 10 days prior to taking the capsules!! I also stay pretty low-carb every day, maybe 30 grams or less a day. Does wine count? Or this could all be a fluke! But I feel my stomach revving up when I take these. Also heard about it on the Dr. Oz show, so maybe he has something about it on his website. Thanks for staying in touch! If you try these, let me know how it goes. You look great!!!!

PS -- I eat about 800-900 calories a day. Mostly meat really. Maybe a bite of rice, or some wheat crackers with peanut butter. Yum! I eat Eggbeaters and 3 turkey sausages every morning. Then I drink a 40 gram protein Isopure drink (from the GNC stores). At night I eat meat and veggies. Sometimes I drink a little too much white wine.

Hi Linda! We got sleeved just about the same time! Congratulations! Don't you love it? I was a bit worried before surgery but it has been the best thing I ever did. Going a bit slow now. I started taking Cayenne capsules 500 mg before breakfast and lunch, and I lose almost a pound a day! Really speeds up the metabolism during meals. But I don't know if this is good for my stomach? Doc says anything goes at this point. I wish you the best!! =)

  9. Hi Lucy,
Thank you for adding me as a friend. I was excited when I saw your date of surgery it is so great chatting with someone who going through kind of the same things. I feeling great for the most part, just wish the weight loss as quicker. I try not to weigh myself to much cause it gets me down if I am not losing. Can you tell me what a day of meals are like for you? I read other peoples post and think maybe there is something wrong with what I can tolerate as far as eatting. I love toast with peanut butter but feel like I'm cheating by eating bread.... Any help is soooooo appriecaited!!! Thank you again and look forward to chatting.

Hi there! We use to live at Lake Tapps, been to Bremerton many many times. Welcome to this forum, it is awesome. Looks like we had surgery just a few days apart. How are you feeling/doing. I am really happy with my results so far... albeit a little slow, but I love getting on the scale and for the first time in my life see it going down instead of up. OH and a freind of mine in Auburn had the sleeve done in June, she's really happy with how her's is going too.

Stomach pain and soreness?

by moving forward on 02-28-2013 at 01:34 PM
Last night I had the worst stomach soreness, cramping pain..... I ended up using a heating pad accross my mid section and my cat wanted to lay on it.... causing me additional pressure like pain. I really considered going to the ER. When I got up this morning I felt much better but still a little sore with lower period like cramps. The only thing I can remember doing different was the night before I did the recumbent bike at the gym. Could riding a bike cause this kind of pain??? Has anyone else
